Description

Ride in the rain.

It’s been pouring outside for a week, if you have to train inside one more day you’re going to go crazy, and you don’t have a riding jacket with a decent rain hood. We are pleased to introduce the GORE Bike Wear Universal II Hood. This hood uses Gore-Tex Paclite Shell fabric to block rain while preventing a total head sweat-out. The rain-drain on the peak helps water flow off the hood instead of into your eyes, and this hood adjusts so that you won’t feel like you have blinders on.

ok, so I wasn't thrilled about paying $40 for a hood until I had and enduro race in an all day rain and low 50 degree temps. It works great, breaths and keeps you warm and dry, no leaks...

The neck looks pretty short. Does it come down far enough to cover a jacket collar?

This hood is made to work in tandem with any GORE BIKE WEAR™ Men's or Women's GORE-TEX® jacket. The back of the hood velcros into a tab on the back of the jacket's collar. Therefore, the hood goes over the jacket's collar which ensures that any water that hits the hood will run down the side of the hood and onto the jacket rather than inside of the jacket.
