Just enough to fend off the freezing breeze

Unfortunately for your feet, your toes take the brunt of cold air when you're riding. No matter how many pairs of Merino socks you have on, the high amount of ventilation on cycling shoes allow cold air to penetrate to your toes. For once, enjoy a cool weather ride with the toe-warming Gore Bike Wear Oxygen SO Toe Protectors.

Perfect for transitional weather, the Oxygen SO Toe Protectors keep your digits comfortable when the weather doesn't require the intensity of a full-size shoe cover. However, the Protector can do more with less, and to ensure this, it's been made from the GORE WindStopper Soft Shell fabric. Renowned for its breathable wind protection, this material lives up to its namesake without stifling your cadence. For a precise coverage area, the Oxygen SO stretches over the forefoot of the shoe, and it features an open sole design that accommodates all types of cleats. Gore has also added reinforced edges to resist abrasion from the ground or pedals.

For visibility in low light conditions, the Toe Protectors have reflective logos on the side and front. And even though we hate to admit that we make mistakes, we love the reflective transfer printing that marks the left and right toe covers.

The Gore Bike Wear Oxygen Toe Protectors come in the color Black and are available in sizes 4.5-8.0 and 9.0-13.0.

I wear size 49 shoes and have a terrible time finding full booties that fit. I bought these cause it was getting cold and I had to have something. These are meant for wear in temps of about 40F to 50F, cool to chilly, but not cold. In this range, they're pretty awesome. I used the down to the mid 20's with 2 toe warmers on each foot, and they were better than nothing, but not great. My shoes have worn holes in the bottom fabric at the toes too, more my fault, I think. Just be realistic about what these are meant for and you will be happy. Also, remember that 40F to someone who lives in the midwest is much different that to someone who lives in a warmer climate like the south.

While these kept my dogs borderline cold tolerable...they definitely did not keep them warm. My toes were still numb on on 45 degree day and a very short 15 mile ride. I'm not returning them as they are better than absolutely nothing, but I am definitely not impressed.

These toe warmers do the job well on a cold day that doesn't quite warrant full shoe covers. Well made, great quality!
