Block and breathe.

The lame thing about some windproof, water-resistant jackets is that they feel cardboardy, they don’t breathe much, and they don’t fit in your one-small-pocket hydration-pack. The GORE Bike Wear Oxygen Jacket is different.

How does this compare to the Path jacket...

How does this compare to the Path jacket that's a highly regarded offering from Gore? I can't seem to differentiate between their jackets. There's so much offerings. I don't want to overpay for something I don't really need yet I don't want to buy something that isn't really what I'm looking for.

These are my requirements:

- Able to withstand 15F or lower
- Vents
- Cycling fit (or slim Italian fit)
- Insulated inside
- Windstopper (I'm guessing this is a common thing for Gore Winter jackets)

I think Robert Thomas here is a rep from Gore. Help me out dude. Email me at g32ecs@gmail.com

I am trying to choose between the oxygen and the xenon. I like the lemon yellow because I ride in the morning and I think it would be more visible. It is available in the oxygen and I would have to get the white/black in xenon. I ride in the upper 20's to lower 30's in the winter. Which one of these jackets would you recommend? I like the color in the oxygen but it appears the xenon has more options.

The Oxygen SO Jacket might be a touch warmer as the entire jacket is made up of a fleece backed WINDSTOPPER® SoftShell whereas the Xenon SO Jacket is made up of a fleece backed WINDSTOPPER® SoftShell and a thinner honeycomb WINDSTOPPER® SoftShell. The Xenon SO does have a few more features than the Oxygen SO such as zippered arm openings, two front vents, a taller collar that can fold over and an additional rear zip pocket. The Oxygen SO does have an integrated neck warmer which is not found in the Xenon SO.

I wear a Gore Tool Jacket Medium below 45 deg with a light Craft baselayer - below 30 deg I use a heavy Craft baselayer - I love the Tool jacket, fit etc... which Gore jacket would be good in the 40's and 50's? Is the fit like the Tool?

For a jacket that fits like the Tool, but is a little lighter weight, I'd go with the Countdown SO Jacket. Very similar fit, just a little lighter, but still full WINDSTOPPER, so you get very similar protection.

hope that helps,
