The AS you see in the title of the Gore Bike Wear Fuxion 2.0 Gore-Tex AS Pants stands for Active Shell, Gore’s most breathable hard-shell membrane. If you’re a year-round commuter, particularly in wet climates, the Fusion 2.0 is an ideal choice for less-than-perfect days.
The aforementioned Active Shell membrane is completely waterproof and breathable. Downpours are no problem, nor are slightly warm but wet days; you’ll stay comfortable through your whole ride.
Knowing full well that a pair of pants made entirely of hardshell material is no way to guarantee comfort, Gore added Gore-Tex stretch panels where the pedaling motion will require the pants to move a bit, and they also added a hook-and-loop closure at the cuff to keep your drivetrain pants-free.
