Description

Don't underestimate the cold.

Cold muscles don't perform as well as warm muscles, which is the number one reason why the Gore Bike Wear Contest Thermo Bib Tight will make you faster—and if not, at least you'll have warm legs. The Contest Thermo Bib Tight features a ergonomic, six-panel cut for a next-to-skin fit. Cold-susceptible areas like the knees and kidney region get an additional layer of thermo-stretch fabric for added warmth—so you can't blame the cold for ending your training ride early.

  • Gore chamois keeps things kosher during long days in the saddle
  • Reflective logos keep motorists aware of your presence in low-light
  • Gripper elastic on bottom hem prevents unwanted movement
  • Mesh regions provide better heat exchange across the body

I'm 5'11'' with a 34" waist and 32" inseam. I just returned a pair of Castelli bib tights size Large because they were too tight through the leg (I have big legs). Any idea of whether I would be a L or XL in Gore?

I'm 5'9", waist 34 inseam 30, what size would fit better, the L or the XL? I don't care for "too tight", prefer it to be a little lose so it's not uncomfortable, the sizing chart says it runs "fit", I'm leaning towards XL but are wondering on the inseam. What do you guys think?

The inseam is definitely going to be the issue here. The Large has an inseam around 32.5. These will be long for you. If you don't mind folding the bottom part of the legs in to accommodate the inseam length, then you should be good. I definitely would stick with the Large over the XL. You will be swimming in the XL.
