Leave changing to the trees
Versatility is paramount when mountain biking in cold weather. You don't want to be stopping half-way up a climb to shed layers. And, there is nothing worse than your sweat-soaked jersey being hit by cold on a downhill. The Gore Bike Wear ALP-X 2.0 Thermo Long Sleeve Jersey knows what you need, when you need it.
Constructed from a mix of nylon and Elastane, the ALP-X Long-Sleeve Jersey features excellent warmth retention. It was designed to push and pull moisture. When you sweat, it pulls the moisture from the inside to the outside of the jersey. From there it's evaporated. If you are wearing an outer shell for frigid conditions, the Alp-X pushes the moisture through to the shell keeping your skin dry. You won't need to remove the shell and risk the embarrassment of being seen with it tied around your waist a la 'fanny-pack' style. That's the beauty of the ALP-X, run it solo when leaves are dropping, and then add another once the frost arrives.
The ALP-X Long-Sleeve jersey was cut with an anatomic, cycling-specific cut with articulated arms and a slightly longer rear hem. It also features anti-slip shoulders which come in handy on those days when your only training involves a bike commute complete with laptop and change of clothes in tow -- your bag won't slide down your shoulders every time you reach for the brakes. If you are riding sans bag, there are roomy back pockets and a zipped Napoleon pocket for valuables. A full-length front zip allows further optimization of temperature.
The Gore Bike Wear ALP-X 2.0 Thermo Long-Sleeve jersey comes Varsity green/black, Red/black, and Splash blue/black. It is available in sizes Small through XX-Large.
