    Keep those cameras rolling.

It happens. Dead batteries creep up on you like saboteurs, screwing up your day — and it's always at the worst possible time, right? Ain't no thing when you've got a GoPro Hero4 Rechargeable Battery. Keep an extra or two around to keep the cameras rolling and the footage flowing, because a dead battery is a lame excuse to come home empty-handed.

    Spare Batteries for long adventures

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I work on week long trips on the Colorado river where the only option to charge a battery is through solar power. Getting spare batteries is a cheaper, less hassle of an option.
GoPro's have poor battery life, especially when filming in high def, so it's good to have a few extra of these handy.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

GoPro makes an awesome camera, unfortunately it dies excessively fast sometimes regardless of use. Having 2-3 batteries makes a life a lot easier. Especially if you want o use the camera multiple days in a row without being around electricity.

    Good Batteries in warmth

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These backup batteries are great for warm activities. I have taken these batteries surfing and snowboarding. They last a decent amount of time when I go surfing, but when I snowboard, the battery life diminishes a lot.

    There are cheaper alternatives

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was bummed when they changed the battery design from the hero 3 to 4. Hero 3 batteries don't work in a hero 4.

These batteries are just fine. They're the original battery, so expect to pay a little more than no-name brands. I have both, and I can't tell a difference in performance between the GoPro name brand batteries and the no-names.

Either way, I always travel with at least 3 batteries for my Hero 4. When shooting at 4k, it eats up a lot of memory and a lot of battery quick, so it's best to have some backups.

Why worry about missing the moment when they make these batteries so cheap? You definitely want to keep these batteries warm before you use them. A battery stored below freezing for a period of time will not function the same.

It's definitely a must to have!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My GoPro Hero4 Black battery doesn't last long when I turn on the wifi and connect to GoPro remote. Having an extra battery is very convenient when my battery died and I can replace it in no time.

      Good call for GoPro owners

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I think that it's one of the main accessories that you can buy for your GoPro. Since there's no way to charge your GoPro while you're using it, it's always good to have an extra battery. This extra battery saved my live a couple of times.

      Keep a back up.

I have the Gopro Silver 4. This camera eats through batteries due to the display on the back. On video mode shooting at 1080P battery life last around and hour and 40 minutes. I highly recommend picking up a spare. You dont want to find yourself with a dead camera on one of those once in a lifetime pow day.

      you always need extra's

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

You know you need a couple batteries when you take your go pro out, and for the price of these you should prob pick up a few extra batteries. You can never have to many batteries, right!?
