Tut tut looks like...

Cold, cloudy, rainy weather in the backcountry sure can be pleasant when you're eating Good To-Go's Pad Thai. A few minutes of boiling water bring these traditional Banh Pho rice noodles to a soft, warm, welcoming addition to your stomach. Good To-Go's chefs packed this Pad Thai with eggs for protein, American shrimp sauce, and crunchy peanuts to compliment the scenic backdrop outside the door and the rain's soft, peaceful pitter-patter atop the tent that will eventually put you and your full stomach to sleep.

IMHO

After reading mixed reviews on this I figured I'd still give it a go and see for myself what it was like. Obviously, you can't expect it to be like legit pad thai. The noodles are cut into pieces so it packs and cooks better for the backcountry. Overall the flavor was good, but maybe a little more like a curry than a pad thai. It was hearty and super filling compared to most 2 serving freeze dried meals. I couldn't for the life of me finish this and saved the rest as lunch the next day. For reference, I ate this while backpacking 100+ miles on The Highline trail in the Uintas. This was night 5 of 6 and I couldn't eat the whole thing. Overall opinion - was fairly good, but I don't see it as something I'd crave on a trip so I probably won't order it again. But if someone offered it to me, I'd eat it!
