The GoLite Men's Xirtam is a softshell jacket designed for people who get out and move—regardless of the weather. Made with a combination of highly water-resistant Fusion material and Alchemy 3 Stretch, the Xirtam provides a close fit and excellent weather protection in light rain or snow. Warm enough to wear as a shell while you're cross country skiing or running in the winter, this softshell also has two rear mesh core vents to increase airflow and keep you from overheating. GoLite made the Xirtam for those who refuse to stop. If you prefer to sit, semi-catatonic, and watch the snow pack grow, this is the wrong jacket for you.
Bottom Line: For winter enthusiasts on the run (or ski, or snowshoe).

I've used this jacket in all seasons and it works great to keep me dry or block the wind.
It's light and soft, yet durable... perfect to keep in the bag during summer hiking and pretty fashionable to use as a general rain jacket.
Breathability is great and the fit is nice with the stretchy material.
I also use this jacket while snowboarding in Colorado. As long as I have the proper underlayers for insulation, this is a great top layer. It allows every other layer beneath to breath properly.
A great buy.

Very soft rain jacket. Feels very much like a softshell, even though it's a hardshell. One of the best rain jackets I’ve tried. The only drawback is you look like you're wearing a bonnet with the hood on. I would highly recommend this product!

This jacket is the best "true softshell" I have ever used. It is Simple. It has plenty of stretch. Plus it is just a nice clean jacket that can be worn out and about. I have run, hiked and biked in mine, and it does all three very well.

This is a great jacket. The only "con" is that it doesn't have a place to store the hood.
