It's been pouring rain all day, and now your backpack sleeping bag and extra clothes are soaked. You could have avoided this drenching by using the GoLite Ultra-Lite Pack Cover. All you had to do was slip this SilNylon cover over your backpack, and it would have kept everything inside bone dry. Your ultralight down bag wouldn't be all wet, and you would have gotten a good night's sleep in your dry change of clothes. You wish you would have carried this 3oz (small size) Ultra-Light Pack Cover, don't you?
Bottom Line: Keep your gear from getting drenched with the GoLite Ultra-Lite Pack Cover.

Very Light, But Not Quite Secure

This is a very lightweight pack cover, but the only mechanism to keep it on my pack is the elastic drawstring secured by an adjustable toggle. Unfortunately, a few times the pack cover would slip off the sides of my pack, exposing the outer edges to rain. I ended up replacing it with a Sea to Summit Ultralight pack cover, which weighs exactly the same and has an elastic strap that clips across the pack behind my back, keeping it in place.

Bottom line: Kept my pack dry. It unfolds fast and is sort of like a fitted sheet fits on your backpack like it would your mattress and is always a pain in the butt to fold back up again. If you want extra protection you can;t go wrong. Weight definitely isn't an issue.. It weighs virtually nothing...
