A combination of nylon and spandex makes the GoLite Men's Switchback Shorts durable enough for a tough hike and stretchy enough for hard rock climbing. The Switchback Shorts also include a gusseted crotch to keep them from inhibiting any movement. A low-profile internal belt fits comfortably even if you wear a harness or backpack. GoLite gave these durable, stretchy shorts a long 10-inch inseam to keep the legs from riding up under your climbing harness' leg loops when you top out another pitch of rock.
Bottom Line: GoLite built the Switchback Shorts for burly days in the hills and mountains.

I bought the switchback shorts, and have been wearing them every day for a month so far while traveling in South America. They are comfortable, casual-looking shorts that I can swim in one minute, let them dry for 15 minutes, and keep going. Have yet to wash them (still no smell) and have gone out clubbing in them as well. Haven´t had a problem yet.

These shorts are really comfortable. They are quick dry and they have a nice side cut in the fabric more functionality. The gusseted crouch on these is the best I have
used on the trail. Two hand pockets and two thigh zip pockets on these shorts as well as a nice built in waist belt that is really convenient to adjust depending on your waist size. These shorts are trail worthy!

These dry much faster than an hour! Twenty minutes tops. Very comfortable and light. They have awesome pockets nice and deep, and you cant even tell the side pockets are there. The zipper on the fly and pockets is high quality. Supremacy can be purchased; buy GoLite.

Finally...a pair of climbing/hiking shorts for those of us "blessed" with a small waist and big legs and booties! They look great but I just can't wear Pr'ana or Marmot shorts. Plenty of leg room, great performance, dries in <1 hour, high build quality. I'm stocking up on all available colors.
