You and your friends can either get eaten alive by mosquitoes all night, or you can awake bite-free inside the GoLite Shangri-La 6+ Nest. This incredibly spacious mesh-shelter's 131sq foot floor comfortably sleeps six campers and can hold up to nine if you need to cram in a few extras. Thanks to over six and a half feet of head room, there's plenty of space to move around in the GoLite Shangri-La 6+ Nest. On rainy days, pair it with the Shangri-La 6+ Shelter for total rain protection.

the poles go inside the nest. the outer tarp connects to the nest via a clip - so they will not slide. I think it is a great family tent. guidelines allow for staking. plenty of room for 5 + dog + packs.

Bought this as my daughters are now old enough to backpack as a family and me hauling around a 6 person tent was over 20+ lbs - this set-up is a back saver. Light weight (11 lbs) and fully functional. Tons of room as you can sleep 6 people and gear! For a family or if you just want room to roam, this is the way to go.
