Your computer screen freezes up on the GoLite Pinnacle Pack. For hours you have roamed the vast internet for the ultimate lightweight backpack that isn’t stripped of all the bells and whistles you need.

  • Double-Wishbone hip-belt connection efficiently transfers weight to the hips and features zippered stretch pockets for you to store your camera or small items
  • Mesh on back panel and shoulder harness quickly moves moisture to avoid a soggy back
  • ComPACKtor system enables you to reduce your pack’s volume from a multi-day carrying system to a day-tripper
  • Large front pocket organizes bulky gear and two side stretch pockets hold your water bottles
  • Attach your skis, snowboard or sleeping bag to your pack with the side compression straps with quick release buckles
  • Stash your hydration bladder in the internal hydration sleeve with right and left hydration tube ports

Bottom Line: Hmmm … now to unfreeze your computer and buy the Pinnacle.

A good one for Ultralighters.

Large single compartment no frills ultralight backpack. Weight is as listed 2lb 1oz on the 4400L. The foam back panel is removable. The hip belt isn't really anything more than a strap, not much in the way of padding. But, that's the price of it's weight. It's also made from recycled materials! I'll use this pack a lot.

This is the Pinnicale of Packs

By:

LOVVVVE IT!!! I have the 72L and it is great. Have put 60 miles on it loaded to 27-32lbs and it is comfortable. HUGE amount of room so bulk is not an issue - I don't even have to compress my bag much. Lots of thought went into this pack. I easily reach my nalgene in the side mesh pockets the belt has its own mini-pocket for camera and Lara Bar, inner pocket for my Camelbak and the zipper pocket in the back is perfect for my windshirt, rain gear and vest. Oh yea it's amazingly water resistant too - no real need for a pack cover (so far). And all for 33oz!

Packing it is different. No accustom to the Roll top and miss a lid for stashing my gloves and hat in. Also, I'm use to having many pocket and a frame to lash things to - still experimenting so any tips are appreciated.

This is going on the AT (Fontana Dam) in April for a week with a full load of food and fuel (33lbs) so that will be a big test. Then going out to Philmont for 10 days (24-26lbs).

My knees are looking forward to both.

Best pack I've ever used

By:
October 14, 2010

This pack is versatile, lightweight and durable. I can make it small for low profile and great load control or I can expand for a week-long trip. I've used it for trips to Costco via bike in Tokyo and I've used it for week-long bowhunting treks (I just throw a ghillie-style jacket over the pack for camouflage). It's my 'go to' pack for nearly everything I do.

Great Bag

By:
April 11, 2011

I used this bag for a 3-day trip and I had room for all my stuff and room to spare. Pack weight was only 25 pounds so I was having a ball enjoying the Ozarks while some of my friends were struggling with their 40 pound packs. All in all, great pack, loved the cavernous main compartment and huge front pocket. Wish I could give it 6 stars

Day/50 Miler Pack

By:
June 22, 2010

I really like having the ability to compact this into a day pack, a weekend pack or expand it for a 4 or 5 day hike. I miss the multiple compartments I used to have in my old pack, they helped me organize my crap, so now I just use gallon size Ziploc freezer bags instead. The pack is so comfortable, loaded with 30 lbs. I hardly even notice it until I have to take it off. I also like the fact that a Bear Vault fits in sideways. If this sounds like you, then you'll love this pack.
