Pinnacle Pack - 3700cu in - Women's

GoLite trimmed everything from the Women’s Pinnacle Pack to shave weight under the two-pound mark while still keeping the minimal essentials. A large front pocket takes place of the lid pocket, and the lid—gone. GoLite added two side pockets to provide a place to stash gloves, snacks, and other small necessities. Dyneema fabric handles an impressive amount of abuse both on the trail and in the mountains, and dual ice axe loops make this pack winter ready.

Bottom Line: Weight-obsessed users, rejoice.

For a 10 day trip, with 25 - 30 pounds, would you recommend the Pinnacle or Quest, and also does the Pinnacle have an internal frame, or no frame at all.

The Pinnacle has a removable soft foam back pad. The Quest has a framesheet with aluminum stays. If you are carrying 30 lbs, I would recommend you get a pack that has the framesheet and stays. It is worth the extra pound in the pack, as it will carry the load better.

Great, super light-weight pack that fits my body well. I can load it up to the top and it still stays in place while climbing. Also, it can compress out to a small pack - which makes it two packs in one.

My girlfriend is really interested in getting this pack after I got one for Christmas. Does the women's model also have those handy hip pockets?

You bet. I think the only difference in the men's and women's models are the sizes and maybe the colors.

GoLite Pinnacle Pack

I love this pack-- I have the '08 model and it is super light but still includes everything I need. I am slightly bothered that GoLite put a bunch of bells and whistles in for the '09 year which bumped the weight up 8 ounces, but it's still well below the weight of most packs.

I'm going on a trip to India and am attatched to the idea of only taking a carry on/having a small backpack while there. Does anyone know the dimensions of this bag once it's packed? Wondering if it will fit the airline carry on requirements. Thanks!

If this bag is packed to the brim, it will be very tough to carry this bag on. I have carried bags on planes around ~3200 cu in, but ~3700 is where it starts becoming iffy. If it wasn't packed all the way, I think you could get away with it.
