this jacket is great. it completely blocked 30 mph wind on a 20F and humid day. i went sledding in it too and stayed completely dry. all without breaking a sweat because it has great breathability. im 5'11 160 with long arms slim/athletic. the medium fits perfectly and looks good, its form fitting but still room enough for a thick mid-layer when needed. you'll want one if youre going to be inactive in temps below 35-40F. this jacket is awesome for hiking all day in the snow or just going to watch a soccer game in breezy weather. you wont be dissapointed.

have an older golite softshell model without the hood and it's bomb. it's very stylish and simple. great ventilation and super lightweight. i'm a big fan of a lot of golite gear. very high quality and great craftmanship.

Ryan, if you don't have this softshell, why would you review it? Does yours have the aluminum coating to retain heat? Does it have the sympatex lining? Does it have *anything* that this jacket does besides the brand name. I agree that GoLite makes good stuff, but please stick to reviewing items you own/have used.

I have two other softshell jackets (which I love), but wanted one with a hood. I found this one and it is AWESOME.... Great fit with medium or heavy baselayer and relaxed fit so it does not bind under the arms. Super attention to detail, quality materials, light weight and breathable, yet very warm. Great for hiking, snowshoeing or just casual wear. Recommend to anyone looking for a great softshell jacket.
