Whether you’re heading out on an endurance race or a fastpacking trip, the GoLite Lite-Speed Pack gives you the features, low weight, and carrying capacity you need. Despite the large 3000cu inches of cargo space, this GoLite pack weighs well under three pounds. A large front stash pocket lets you cram in you shell when the weather gets nice, and the waist-belt pocket keeps snacks within reach. This pack also includes a hydration sleeve, and two side mesh pockets let you add water bottles to the mix when you need to bring along more H2O.

Bottom Line: Go lighter and travel farther.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Great pack, very light with lots of good pockets and storage options - but can be a little small if you have a large sleeping bag in addition to your tent, stove, etc. If you are traveling with others and can share the load, then it is perfect. Only four stars because of this, small issue, but otherwise a great pack.

Do you think this pack would work for two night, 3 day, 50-60 mile trips?

3 nights easy! With an ultralight kit 7 days are more than doable with 50L.

I recently had a buddy do a 6-night 50-mile trip with this on the AT without any issues. Depending on the climate you'll be traveling in, you should be ok.

In good weather (Late spring to early fall here in MN) this is about the size I would go with for that long of a trip.
