GoLite set a benchmark with the 12-ounce, three-layer, waterproof breathable Women's Gamut Jacket, and it ended up winning Outside Magazine's Killer Value Award. Now you too can have the durability and weather protection of a heavyweight shell, without the heavyweight part. The key to the Gamut Jacket is the fully seam-taped Trinity waterproof breathable stretch fabric. GoLite make this women's jacket with no frills (because frills add weight), but they gave it the essentials: two zip hand pockets and an adjustable, articulated hood.

I don't know how it is in the rain yet (that's why 4/5 stars), but the feel and fit are awesome! I got M and it's really form-fitting and super soft.

Got the boysenberry in Med. I'm usually either a small or med, and this jacket was too small....couldn't put anything but a really thin layer underneath. Really liked the color, though.
Can the hood fit over a helmet and does it have a brim?
