Of course you venture into the wilderness to disconnect from society and connect with your primitive-self, but modern technology is a great accessory to ancient survival skills. The Goal Zero Nomad 7m Solar Panel offers a sun-powered charge for a variety of portable, battery-powered devices. The foldable, compact design means the Nomad 7m will add piece of mind to your adventure by keeping your GPS, radio(s), laptop, and lights juiced without adding noticeable weight.

  • Dual 7 Watt Mono-crystalline solar panels encased in fabric folding shell with loops to attach to backpack or hang
  • Output port has both a 5v USB and 12v DC port
  • Included 12V male cigarette adapter allows charging of devices without use of sunlight
  • CE and FCC certified device

Bottom Line: The modern nomad's accessory.

The description says that this will charge a laptop. Does it come with an adapter to connect it to a laptop? Also I have a Panasonic Lumix Zs7 camera and I was wondering if it could be charged using this solar panel?

This unit will not power/charge the laptop directly because it does not have an AC output port or inverter. You would need something like the Sherpa 50 Power pack and an inverter such as the Sherpa UI which will provide the means by which you can change the 12V DC power into an AC current for the laptop. As for the Lumix, if it charges via USB then you'd be fine charging that directly from the panel.

This little number is seriously handy, I don't really go anywhere without it these days. Packs up light, and will put a charge on my phone or iPod in 2 hours, and can easily be strapped onto the outside of a pack. Simple and functional! The perfect gift for anyone tech-y who likes going outside!
