What size board should I get? I am looking at the 153, but still not quite sure. i am 5'8", weigh about 130 pounds, and wear a size 10.5 boot. I equally board all terrain, but would love to get into the park a little more.

Best Answer Responded on

i would go for the 153

Responded on

150 sounds better for your weight and height. i am also 5'8.5" and weigh 135lbs. I have the pickle in 150 and it is great. I had the 147 before, but the topsheet cracked after 3 days, so i got the 150 as a replacement from sport chalet (they will take ANY board that they carry and replace it for you, even if you didnt buy it from there, pretty awesome). the 147 was more fun to play around on in the park, but the 150 feels stabler and doesnt stick like the 147 for me.

Hey, I'm buying a GNU park pickle and I am trying to decide what size board to get!
I'm 6'1 138 pounds and i wear a boot size 9-9.5... Should I be getting a 150 or 153? I mostly just snowboard groomers and mess around on smaller jumps, jibs and such and im looking to progess. I already have a 162 board which is just WAY to big for me. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

I'm 6' 1" and weigh 190. I was wondering what size I should get. I talked to guy about my size and he had a 153 and loved it.

If you charge the mountain get a bigger board. I hit more jumps than rails and my park board is a 157. (I'm 6'1" /175) I've rode boards in the 153 range for rails and they feel like a noodle when you leave the park. Also consider your boot size

definately 157...i ride lib tech and never summer im also 6'1" 185

Can you detune the edges on this board?...

Can you detune the edges on this board? my roommate says that doing this will make the magnetraction not work right. Is this true?

Responded on

Yes. Detune if you ride lots of rails and the edges will still hold a good edge in the snow.

5'10" 175 lbs - 70% Park, 30% Mtn - 153 or 156?

Responded on

175lbs? go for the 156. The Banana will make it very jibbable and the size will give you some more stability for the jumps. You shouldn't have a problem flexin it out at 175lbs.

This board is ridiculously amazing. I rode a K2 regular camber before going to this board so it was a huge jump in board types and I will never ride anything else now. Its seriously impossible to catch and edge, butters like it gets paid too, tracks on kickers and landings, and is insanely forgiving if you dont get your rotation all the way around when you land. It also sticks to rails like a MF'in magnet. The weather sucks this year so I haven't ridden it in powder yet but I can tell that it too will be insane. The only thing that might be sketchy is the fact that at high speeds it can get a little loose but if you buy this board you should know how to handle that by now anyways, so its not a big deal at all. This board is seriously amazing though, buy it.

I'm looking for a new board with good flex. It says 6 out of 10 on their scale but their scale could mean anything. So I'm wondering if I wanted to do a tail press on a box would it be fairly easy to flex the board into that position?

Responded on

That depends on your weight. The Banana design is like cheating for doing tail/nose presses, so, I would say it is easier. The flex is meant to be right there in the middle so it can ride all the different types of terrain. Medium soft for park/rails and medium stiff for groomers/pipe/trees/freeride.

Really good all-around kind of snowboard that loves to turn.

okay so im from the northeast and im looking for a board that is going to kill the park rails all day, has a nice, forgiving flex and is easy to handle. but i still want something that is agressive on the jumps and in the trees. i saw that this has a mellow flex and the magne traction, but is it too mellow? would you recommend this or the Scallywag?

Best Answer Responded on

Devin,

This board is what you are looking for! The Magne-Traction kills it, especially in that east coast ice. This board goes anywhere and slays everything!

hey guys one question! I'm 5.7 143 and now I'm riding a skate banana 152 with whitch I ride all the mountain. For park riding can I downsized to a park pickle 150? Is it too short for kickers between 10/12 meters? Thanks

Responded on

you could even go down to a 147 and you would be fine, but if you would rather go for the 150 than that should be fine aswell. just depends if your more of a jibber or a all mountain guy. as for your jump question it will totally be fine on that size for jumps.

hey i'm 5 7" 135 lbs.. i currently ride an older 153 pickle, and i'm thinkin about downsizing to a 150..i got an offer for my board for $300, so it would only cost me an extra $200 to get a newer 150..what should i do??? keep the 153 or downsize to a 150?

Best Answer Responded on

I would definitely get the 150 if you do mostly park. It would be easier to maneuver. I weigh 140 pounds and I am getting a 147 WWW so yeah a 153 is kinda big for park riding. If you have the money I say downsize.
