Have some pickle with your banana.

Get excited, riders with big feet, because you too can now achieve balance through asymmetry with the Gnu Smart Pickle PBTX Wide Snowboard. With a shape that reflects the difference between your toe- and heelside carves, the Smart Pickle Wide delivers the most natural-feeling turns you've ever experienced. It's also built with a twin shape and medium flex for a versatile ride that crushes everything from park to powder.

It features a deeper heelside sidecut and an asym flex to make your heelside turns as powerful and natural feeling as your toeside turns. New this year is the asymmetric "Smart Formula" Magne-Traction to make your carves feel even more intuitive than ever before. The Smart PBTX Banana profile features a perfect blend of rocker between the bindings and mild camber outside the bindings for incredible float in powder, catch-free buttering on hardpack, and response and stability at high speeds. Magne-Traction edges are serrated to slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy, so you can lay down high-speed carves and stomp tricks on icy landings while everyone else is washing out left and right.

Three different types of wood make up the core to find the perfect balance between lightweight and strong, and they keep it feeling nice and poppy too. UHMW sidewalls ensure durability, and the sintered base is fast and retains wax well to keep you moving through flat spots with ease.

  • Smart Pickle asymmetric sidecut
  • Rocker between feet with mild camber towards tips
  • True twin shape with centered stance
  • Asymmetric "Smart Formula" Magne-Traction edges
  • Polonia, Great Lakes Aspen, and Colombian Gold wood core
  • Sintered base
  • UHMW sidewalls

Here's what others have to say...

Hey, how does this thing handle icy conditions? Never used the magne traction and was wondering how the edge design/rocker-camber profile handles the slick stuff.

Magne-Traction on ice is great. I grew up on the "ice" coast riding in New Hampshire and had boards with Magne Traction. Hands down, best way to go for the best edge hold.

Does the asymmetry of this board make it more difficult to ride switch, (Im I going to have more difficulty landing 540s or switch jumps than on a true twin board?)

This will be a "True twin shape with centered stance."

If you have a symmetrical stance then landing will be the same. Even if you set your stance back a little you'll still be fine. You'll just get more flex out of the back of the board since you'll have more length between the tip and edge of the read binding.
