The Gnu Men's Mutant Snowboard Binding is a stiff and supportive, yet lightweight freak of nature built for charging steeps and slashing pow. Designed for the rider who seeks out the steepest and deepest zones on the mountain, the Mutant has an aggressive, responsive feel that makes it ideal for freeride fiends.
The hyper-cored aluminum baseplate is stiff, responsive, and extremely lightweight. The FT-4 Highback has a radial cup shape and added surface area for maximum support, instant response, and reliable comfort. The Triple Dampening footbed takes the edge off big drops and flat landings. The Comprex ankle and toe straps have large surface areas to improve stability and prevent pressure points, and the toe strap has a rubberized material that conforms to the shape of your boot for a secure fit.
As with all of Gnu's bindings, the Mutant is equipped with the Easy Rider Speed Entry Binding System. The highback reclines for quick entry and exit, so you only need to adjust the straps once and then you're good to go all season. If for some reason you do need to make some minor adjustments, it also has a micro-adjustment buckle for on-the-fly tweaks. The auto-open lever makes entry and exit even easier by opening automatically once the highback is lowered. Finally, the binding has a pressure relief button that reduces strap tension quickly for instant comfort with no hassle.
