Worthy of its own medal.

Proudly taking home slopestyle gold from the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Jamie Anderson crushes gigantic booters and gnarly rails with unflappable poise and seriously smooth style. The secret to her freestyle domination? You guessed it, the Gnu Women's Ladies Choice EC2-PBTX Snowboard. Although it excels at lapping the planet's most intimidating parks, the Ladies Choice is a great all-mountain freestyle ride, thanks to its medium flex, twin Asymmetrical Symmetrical Synchronization (A.S.S.), and EC2 PBTX rocker/camber profile.

Delivering the playful feel of Gnu's original banana rocker (BTX) with just a bit more bite and responsiveness, EC2 PBTX gives you a rocker between the feet with elliptical camber extending from the inserts out to the contacts. The rocker between the feet provides float in powder, also allowing for a playful, buttery feel, while elliptical camber enhances high-speed response and snap off huge kickers and freestyle features.

Based off the difference in the body's turning mechanics, this twin A.S.S. board harnesses a deeper sidecut (shorter radius) on the heelside edge, allowing you to initiate heelside turns with unprecedented precision. Otherwise, the board is a true twin without any setback, allowing for a great ride, both regular and switch.

Looking inside this freestyle machine, you'll find a core that's composed of Polonia, Aspen, and Columbian Gold wood. This is going to give you the lightweight feel you desire with tons of snap for sending the biggest jumps and freestyle features. Add in ultra-tough UHMW sidewalls and serrated Magne-Traction edges for a freestyle board that begs to be ridden all over the mountain.

  • Twin Asymmetrical Symmetrical Synchronization (A.S.S.)
  • EC2 PBTX (rocker between feet, elliptical camber from inserts to contacts)
  • Core: Polonia, Great Lakes Aspen, Columbian Gold, Rocky Mtn Aspen
  • Magne-Traction edges
  • UHMW sidewalls
  • Sintered base

Best overall board!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My girl likes how versatile this board is , it is super grippy and responsive on the hard pack , but is also a beast in the park, with perfect pop and flex , also this board is is not shy on a pow day.

SO fun!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Full disclosure: I am a skier.
After a VERY long hiatus, I decided to get back into snowboarding and really went all out on purchasing a new setup. I've heard awesome things about Gnu/LibTech's magnetraction and crazy camber profiles, but had only ridden a few runs on their boards at on-snow demos. This purchase was definitely a shot in the dark, but I am SO stoked!
I've been snowboarding for almost 20 years, but sold all of my gear a few years ago and have just been skiing. I was feeling a little rusty, but this board quickly inspired the confidence I needed. It is really light and playful, but super powerful! The deeper heel sidecut and magnetraction make it really grippy and stable carving turns, especially on hardpack and ice. Elliptical camber makes it super poppy and versatile for all conditions. Good times!
I am about 5'6, 130 lb and I went with the 151.5cm length. As an all mountain/park board it is perfect!
Also, this is Jamie Anderson's go-to so that is neat.

**Recommended binding: GNU B-Free!! Ultralight, medium flex, and user-friendly rear entry system.
