Description

Disintegrate everything in front of you with pinpoint accuracy.

With technology stolen from cryogenically-frozen aliens at a top-secret research lab in Washington, the GNU Altered Genetics C2BTX Snowboard rides like an extraterrestrial spacecraft. With tractor beams. And lasers. Definitely lasers. The C2 Power Banana hybrid-rocker shape and ridiculously light weight mean you can launch further into orbit than ever before.
  • Biologically-engineered Altered Genetics core uses top-secret wood for crazy pop and minimal weight
  • C2 Power Banana places camber underfoot and rocker in-between to blend camber’s pop and stability with rocker’s forgiving, floaty feel
  • Bioplastic topsheet made from beans is durable and good for the planet
  • Magne-Traction edges add five bonus contact points for maximum grip, even in icy snow
  • Sintered base absorbs lots of wax to keep you sliding fast—just say no to knuckling jumps!

great board, as long as you have a proper wax laid down, this board performs amazingly! Even in slush it was a very responsive board.

is this board wide last year i rode a nitro prime and think i need to stick to a wide board as i hav size 12 feet

Yeah this probably wouldn't quite be wide enough for you, unless you go with a really low profile boot. I wear a size 12 and go with Salomon boots that utilize footprint reduction technology similar to Burton's, it helps a lot.

A fun and aggressive all mountain freestyle board

I've ridden this board for 4 days now, 2 days on groomers and chop off piste and 2 days in powder. The flex is definitely on the stiff side of things, so if you're not on your game, the board will throw you around a little. That being said, if you ride hard, this board can handle everything you throw at it.

It carved very well on groomers (side note: the magnetraction on this board is the most pronounced out of the 4 lib/gnu boards I've owned) and rode switch pretty easily. The board has lots of pop, particularly if you load the tail first.

As for float in the pow, the board performs comparably to other reverse camber boards I've ridden around this size (155). That is to say its better than a cambered board of similar size in pow, but wouldnt compare to a tapered board like Burton Malolo or a Capita Charlie Slasher.
