Your ability to ride a longboard largely depends on the relationship that develops between you and the board. The Globe Kaguya Longboard features a smokin' hot hottie on the bottom so it shouldn't be all that hard, right? Other features include a sand-blasted grip to maintain the aesthetic of the bamboo top ply, carve-friendly square-edged wheels, and inverted kingpin trucks for a surfy carve you can drop a knee to.

  • Wheel colors on completes may vary, but the deck graphic will be as pictured.

I actually havent gotten the board yet, so I can only assume how it rides, but being that it is 43', its a good steady size for a beginner. It's a good median between shorter boards, which will be much more sensitive to a turn which is nice for tight corners, and way the longer boards like mine (its about 6 feet), which carve way more and give you a smoother, cruising feel (although it really matters on what kind of hills you'll be riding). The one thing to be weary of with any bamboo board is that since bamboo naturally wants to be cylindrical, given too much strain or weathering, they tend to want too bend back into a rounder shape... However, this board in particular is nice because it has a layer of maple (or some other sturdier wood... I can't remember off the top of my head) which is lined in between the bamboo layers... so it should retain it's bouncy-ness (which I'n my opinion makes riding much more enjoyable), but it should keep sturdy as well.

I hope this helps, but I'm not actually with, so I can't answer any of your other questions... but if you and your friends are getting the 5 boards, then I would recommend each getting a different size/make of board for better diversity while riding, and you can experiance more kinds of boards.

Happy cruisin ladies... Shaka!
