Here's what others have to say...

fits just right, high quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Measuring around knuckles, my hand is about 7.5" and the small fits just right. No padding allows for superb bar feel and no bunching, pinching or movement when braking/shifting. Only paid $20 for mine, wish I'd ordered more than 1 pair.

Minimalist

Not much padding, excellent fit. Word of advice to avoid tearing your gloves like others here, and this is for all brands, is to pull Velcro-less gloves off your wrist before pulling from the finger tabs. They fit tight for a reason. Ordering a couple more pairs as we speak. They are true to size.

No Pressure

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

On my ergo hoods, I went through 3 different padded gloves without success. The pads put undue pressure on my hands. The worst gave me hand cramps instantly, and the best padded gloves delayed the onset of hand cramps to longer rides. It felt like the padding was squeezing my hands and causing localized pressure points. The Zero glove eliminated the problem altogether, even on the longest rides. I bought spares in case they eliminate this model. As always, great service at Backcountry.

The best

Giro is a really cool company. Based in Santa Cruz CA, they design some of the best cycling gloves as well as some of the best aero covers and high-end bike helmets in our sport (atmos, aeon, and air attack).

PROS: Very-very well ventilated with mesh inserts on the top of the hand and along the sides of the fingers. High quality, real Pittards leather in the palm plus no gel pads provide amazing fit and awesome bar feel. If you have your bar wrapped in Cinelli cork tape (or similar), you don't need gel in your gloves. Very good looking. No velcro to snag on your jersey or shorts.

CONS: Be careful taking these gloves off. This is true for any properly fitting road gloves (snug) without Velcro -especially when sweaty after your ride. Do not use the removal tabs too much or the fingers will split (of course).

QC: Mine have been perfect. If yours aren't, send them back to CC. CC has an awesome 90 day "no questions asked" return policy. Giro has a one year warranty.

These are my favorite gloves for use in warm-weather (above 70*). However, Pearl Izumi's "PRO Pittards gloves" are very similar and a great choice if you prefer Pearl's logo or own a lot of PI gear.

Me Likey

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I find stuff that works I stick with it. I bought these to replace the exact same paid I got 2 season ago. I have ridden over 10000 miles (road, MTB and 'cross) and the only reason they are being replaced is they ripped in a crash. I would say I got my moneys worth. As others have said they do not offer much in the way of padding but I like that in a glove. To each their own.

Light on Padding

If you like a glove without a lot of padding then these are it. I tend to like a bit more.

Durability is an issue

To start I must say this is my favorite gloves ever, I don't like much padding and this glove is the best in that regard, no Velcro closure is great as well.
However the quality of the construction is not great, stitches are not good and over all the glove didn't last even one season.
I would buy it again just because how good it is when it still in one piece but for the price and Giro reputation it should be better bade.

best gloves ever, but

the mesh ripped after just one wear. tired of spending money on things that don't hold up.

Exactly what I wanted

These gloves are exactly what I was looking for. It's difficult to find half-finger gloves with no padding and minimalist features, but the Giro Zero fits the bill. I like to feel the bars, not feel like I'm ready to play hockey. The genuine Pittards palms are nice - thin, supple, tacky. I've been very pleased.

After two rides the sewing on the left glove started to loosen. It will not last for very long I guess.
