Lightweight protection with a custom fit.
Ideal for all-mountain riders, the Women’s Giro Xara Helmet is one of the lightest, strongest, and most comfortable helmets available. Giro’s In-Mold technology fuses the outer shell to an EPS foam liner, enhancing the protective abilities of both parts. Thanks to this construction, previously vulnerable spots around the vents and ribs are strengthened against impact. For ventilation, the helmet has 17 Wind Tunnel vents with internal channeling—keeping you cool while the sun is trying to cook your brain on long, exposed rides. A removable and adjustable P.O.V. visor deflects glaring sun, pouring rain, and pesky branches. It can be adjusted up to 15 degrees vertically or removed—both accomplished without tools. With helmets, fit is vital, and Giro uses its Roc Loc 5 Fit System to ensure you can find the right fit for you. This system lets you micro-adjust the helmet vertically and horizontally on the fly.

Girlfriend Loves It
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Purchased this helmet for my girlfriend. She has notihng but great things to say about the fit, breathability and comfort. The blue color really stands out and looks great on the trail. As for how well it protects her head... hopefully we never find out.
I love this helmet!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This helmet has been good to me over the last several hundred miles I have put on my bike. Granted I haven't had any other helmets to compare it to, i've had it on my head for a lot of ride hours and there are a lot of things that I like about it. To begin with It has held up well through a lot of conditions (including getting rained on and washed with a hose) and even though I have a white colored helmet, it doesn't appear to have absorbed a lot of dirt and grime. It's lightweight and doesn't feel bulky like other helmets I have tried on. It breathes well and doesn't get too hot. And, the visor is great for deflecting foliage and sun.
What I can't comment on is it's ability to react/protect in a crash situation. While I have gone down my fair share of times, fortunately, it hasn't been on my head yet.
