Breakthrough comfort meets no-brainer safety in the Giro Seam Helmet. Giro has been making heads safe for years, and the Seam’s impact-absorbing polycarbonate shell and foam liner still do the trick when you lose an edge in your favorite stash of trees. Insurance aside, Giro’s innovations in ventilation will encourage you to wear this brain-bucket in all weather, especially on warm days when the snow is bulletproof.

Bottom Line: For best results, wear every day.

Great Bucket for Your Melon

The Seam is an awesome helmet! I've never ridden/skied a run in my entire life without a helmet and this one is the best I've ever used. Its light, stylish, and very warm. The best part about this helmet is the venting system. Other helmets (ex: Smith) have tiny vent levers that are a pain to out whereas the Seam has a large lever across the top that makes it very easy to open with gloves or mittens on. The chin strap is easy to adjust and comfortable as well. The size adjustment in the helmet is also an awesome feature that allows for a better, snug fit. Just some advice- don't try to rock Oakley A-Frames with this helmet because it will leave gaps on your forehead.

Get this helmet. You won't regret it.

I'm looking at this helmet for my son for his birthday, his head circumference is 23", what size should I buy? He has a pair of Spy Apollo goggles, will these work with this helmet?

If he's right at 23", get him a Medium. Any bigger than 23 1/4", go Large.

The goggles will work - they're helmet compatible.

Giro Seam

This is my first helmet and Im extremely excited I went with the Giro Seam. I measured 22" around my head and went with a Medium and it fits perfect. The Oakley Crowbars go perfect with this helmet also. Highly recommend!

some may have a rattle

By:
December 10, 2011

There seems to be some variance in quality control, some units may have a very rattle in the slider when the vents are fully open, while other units are rattle free. Even if you get a rattling helmet though, you can either close the vents a little bit or just put a sticker over the slider.

Either way though, pretty comfortable helmet, now waiting for snow so i can try it on the slopes.

It is the only helmet that I could find that would fit my round pumpkin head.

Giro Seam

By:
October 26, 2011

The Seam fits great, and I love the vents; 1 switch on top opens and closes all vents. The short visor has a vent in it to allow the goggle to radiate. I had an old G10 and this helmet is way nicer. My goggles fit perfectly too, no gaper gap.

Hey Graham! I also have an old G10 MX and I'd like to ask you about sizing: have you sized it up?down?stay the same as your old helmet?
Thank you!!!
