Description

Comfortable hands on long rides.

Giro's Monaco is the hammer of the Giro glove line and is meant to be rock solid mile after mile. This begins with fit; no matter how well made, gloves are worthless if they don't fit well. Giro's Super Fit Engineering process assures a tailored construction, with a three-part Pittards leather palm that's cut to be precise and bunch-proof, especially at the finger/knuckle junction. The four-way-stretch mesh back is breathable, and features tiny pockets at the top ends of the middle and ring fingers to ease removal. A tab on the palm side of the wrist helps make it easier to pull the Monaco Gloves on and a Velcro closure lets you micro-adjust fit.

The palm also features Technogel padding on the heel and outside of the hand, which is subtle and thin, but helps reduce the fatigue and potential numbness caused by the constant pressure of leaning onto the handlebars on long rides. The back of the thumb features a soft, microfiber wiper for your nose or face.

The Monaco Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and come in Black/charcoal.

  • Technogel pads on the upper and side of the palm, and thumb, prevent numbness and distribute pressure
  • Three-panel palm and a four-way-stretch upper ensure natural movement
  • Pittards micro-vent leather for durability and breathability

Very Bad Glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My only concern and the only con is the eternal black bleeding from the palm. They do not stop even after wash after wash. What went wrong with the business??? The decided to fat the numbers just to sell them. Unbelievable for Giro, since they do have great product, but this is my first encountering this situation.

Great Glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are my go to gloves for spring/summer/early fall. The fit is awesome and the padding is just right so they are not too light or too bulky. I wash mine regularly and they come out great. I highly recommend them.

Great, everyday glove

These are great for my daily commute. They are comfortable, provide an excellent level of protection, and they last. I have medium sized hands, and the mediums are a little snug... but they loosen up fairly quickly. I also experienced the "staining" issue on my palms, but I washed my hands and it went away. Never happened again.

Returned these to Giro b/c of this which happened every time I wore them. I washed them multiple times trying to fix it to no avail. I got no push back from them, so I'm guessing they know about this problem - with the black palmed gloves at least. If it weren't for the staining, I would love these.

I've found this item on a competitor website (SierraTrading Post). Will you match their coupon price of $16.00? If so, I may order 3-4 depending on availability.

Nice glove

Well constructed, with balanced padding...not too much, not too little. Fit is perfect according to the chart. Just be aware that the black Pittards leather palm will bleed onto your white bar tape & discolor it. I switched to a model with the light grey palm, and no problems. Durability is my primary concern when it comes to gloves, and I used Monacos all last season. No popped stitches and no tears. They remain comfortable. The palm started to give out late in the season...worn through between the gel pads at the wrist, yet rideable enough to finish out the season
