I have been saving up for a Giro Hex helmet, and just received the email this morning saying that Giro is 20% off. Please see attached pic.
When I scrolled through colors to add the one color that I really like, I saw that it wasn't actually on sale.
I must say that I am extremely disappointed, and I feel strongly that this is a case of false advertising on the part of Backcountry.com
Why mislead customers like that?
Giro Hex - Best I've owned

I've ridden with the Hex about 20 hours, and I'm still impressed with the amount of air this thing pulls in. Just above walking speed I can feel my head cooling. Easily the best cooling of any helmet I've used in the past. The fit is also impressive - I have a very large head, most helmets and hats simply won't fit, or are uncomfortably tight. The Hex feels great, even at the end of a ride. Easy size adjustment with a simple twist of the knob.
I can't think of a single negative! Buy one!
Very comfy.

Especially the chin straps. It's nice to have a set of chin straps that aren't so heavy. The helmet itself is light and well ventilated. The support cinch on the back doesn't get in the way (even if you have lots of hair, like me). And the pads hold in the sweat well.
I had to block a few outreaching branches with the helmet on my last ride. Solid smacks on the noggin, too. To my surprise, nary a scratch on the plastic. I consider that a good sign.
Will I buy another Hex if smash up this one? Yeah, probably.

I've had this helmet for years and love it. For the price it's light and the ventilation hangs with any top dollar lid. I have the black one and just got the white one for my wife and it fits her well. If Giro ever stops making the Hex I plan to stock up on em because I'm not sure I want to use anything else.
This is a nice helmet

I really like this helmet. It is great for the price. It is much more ventilated than my last one, its fairly light, and I think its actually pretty cool looking. Just a couple drawbacks that I noticed about it though...
-It tends to wobble a bit from left to right, especially with a camara on top, and also pulls back a little bit. Not a big deal though and probably just a sizing issue.
-The chin strap is a little weird and hard to adjust correctly so it doesnt feel funny.
Overall this is a good helmet for the price.

The helmet is great. It has vents that open to the front to take in air. I ride in Texas where it's really hot. This helmet is noticeably cooler than my last one. I like the matte finish too.

First new helmet in 5 years. Easy to fit. I ride in Florida and I can feel the difference with the vent system. Didn't need the extra pads for fit.(might be because I gotta block head). Great price and quick delivery from Huck. I would highly recommend.

I've got a few rides in with this helmet and so far it's been great. I typically have to wear a l/xl helmet but with the Giro sizing I was able to fit into a medium which makes for a more compact and better fitting helmet. Ventilation is great and it's very light weight, hardly notice it once it's on. The fit system of this helmet is highly adjustable so you can really dial it in. It takes some time to get it right, but once it's done you shouldn't have to mess with it again. My only complaint is the height adjustment on the RocLoc moves up and down too easily. I usually reposition it once the helmet is on and then adjust the RocLoc as needed. If I crash and burn and need to replace this helmet I'd get another Hex.
Recommended.

Helmet looks and fits great. The ratchet for the tensioner is easy to use one handed making it nice for transitions from those long hot climbs to tightening it up for ripping descents. I have only had it for a few weeks so I cant comment on the longevity of it but so far so good!
