Keep your music playing and your head intact with the Giro G9 Audio Series Helmet. This helmet features Bluetooth Wireless technology to give you high-quality stereo sound and access to your phone. Use the integrated control to mute your beats on the lift, and then turn them back on to answer your phone without taking off your mitts. Giro gave the G9 Audio Series Helmet 15 massive vents to keep you cool as you hike the pipe. A tough polycarbonate outer shell works with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner to protect your dome if you end up on your head above the lip. The G9 weighs only 13oz and sports a sleek minimalist design. You'll hardly notice you're wearing a helmet.

Works as advertised. Just be aware not all bluetooth adapters are equal if you get a cheaper adapter you might have problems. I got some of the sony models which attach to an Ipod and it works pretty well. Would occasionally bug out but not too often. This will drain the Ipod quite a bit faster. I really like the audio controls, can adjust volume, tracks and pause with gloves on and jacket zipped on the move which is pretty cool
It also comes with plug in cable so you can use it without the bluetooth. I would say the audio quality is pretty good and I am quite picky.

I can't seem to remove the ear pads. Is there a snap or something like that to mess with before removing them? I've tried pulling up fairly hard, but don't want to break the cord or anything.

Yank the damn things out. Just have to man-handle them. I ran into the same problem and didn't want to break the brand new helmet but just went for it and they popped right out. Seems strange, I know but it worked.

The bluetooth is for linking it to your cell phone without wires. The wire pictured is for hooking it up to your mp3 player. Other than a cell phone mp3 player, I can't think of an out-of-the-box bluetooth mp3 player.

The sound in from the speakers is clear and crisp and the helmet is very comfortable to wear the only problem i have is that the bluetooth stereo will not connect to my phone (lg voyager)only the hands free part of it.
If I have a bluetooth enabled smart phone that is also my MP3.

Yes, simply sync the helmet with your phone and you can play your tunes completely wireless.

I had to return two of these because the speakers were defective before I finally ordered a different brand. Make sure your helmet has "Skull Candy" or don't bother.

Yes this helmet does have speaker built into the ear pads. Its cord features a 3.5mm plug which is standard for headphone jacks.

the helmet has two sets of vent plugs that can be taken out to adjust the flow through the helmet...not quite as cool at g10 or omen that has a slider, but still pretty good helmet
