Fuse Audio Helmet

The Giro Fuse Audio Helmet is a lightweight, high-performance helmet for riders who throw temper tantrums if they can't have it all—including comfort, peripheral vision, and their theme songs playing as they shred. The Fuse Audio's wide-angle cut creates a gapless fit with goggles and doesn't obstruct your field of vision, which is nice when you're spotting landings or hauling ass through the trees. Giro teamed up with Motorola to create this rockin' brain bucket, leaving you with DJ-quality digital audio and hands-free telephone capabilities. Bluetooth wireless speakers pop into your helmet or the included DJ headband ('cause even though you might want to, you don't ride 24/7). The TuneUps Wireless technology includes volume, track select, pause-play, and Call Connect controls, and it accepts Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, audio devices, and computers.

Bottom Line: Bang your head.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

This helmet is really the only one that works for me. I cant ski without it. Its so comfy and light and just fits great. its wight makes it great for backcountry skiing and having the tune ups for hiking or shreding alone is sweet!

Giro Fuse with Wireless or Giro Omen with the regular Audio?

Giro Fuse with Wireless or Giro Omen with the regular Audio? Any thoughts? Is the audio quality of the wireless significantly better b/c the headphones look nicer in the pictures but you can't ever really tell.

OMEN WITH REGULAR ADIO ALL THE WAY!!!!...the omen is a better helmet, and bluetooth stereo SUCKS SO BAD!!!...all 3 of my stereo bluetooth devices (including my wireless motorola headphones, which i think use the same sound modules that are on this helmet) cut in and out and somtimes stop playing all together, its not worth the "freedom" of wireless tech, because whats the point if you can't listen to your music, right?...plus wired audio will always be more reliable and more hi-fi than bluetooth, its worth having to string the cord into your mp3 pocket

I really like this helmet. I must say that I wish the ear pads were a little bit thicker to help keep my ears warm and block the wind. The fact that you can adjust the vents without having to take the helmet off is one of my favorite features. This helmet has already saved my skull numerous times. The only downside is that I now go bigger and faster as I know my noggin has an extra layer of protection.

Call quality is about a 3.5 out of 5. I never have dropped a call however, it crackles every now and then. Audio is great except for the fact that the BT dongle for my iPod drains the iPod batter in a day instead of it lasting almost a week. Thank god for wall/car/USB chargers.

iPhone works but music won't play via Bluetooth until the O.S. 3.0 for iPhone comes out this summer which will enable A2DP on iPhone which is stereo Bluetooth.

Protects your noggin' while you rock out

Love this helmet. The audio is decent and the helmet protects you from the dents and dings while tree skiing. The adjustable ventilation is the best I've had.
