Great Helmet

No complaints with this helmet! The super customizable fit makes it a versatile piece. I like to wear a flatbrim under and by taking out the pads the fit is perfect. When I don't want the brim, throw the pads back in for a great fit as well! The vents are perfectly placed to get the most airflow in, so girls, grab this helmet if you are worried about helmet hair! All in all this is a great helmet if you want to be safe and not look like a dork. So grab, wear it, and enjoy the ride!

This is the only helmet that I will wear besides the Remedy full face. Its a perfect fit every time I can customize the pads on the inside to give me the padding I like in the front and the slim pads in the back. You can find it in any color to match your bike or your favorite jerseys.

I settled on this helmet after buying a Pro Tec and being unhappy with the way it fit my head. The way a helmet fits is subjective to the individual, but for me the Giro Flak fits great. Much more comfortable and secure. Aside from fit, it looks snazzy and seems to vent well considering the style of helmet. If I broke it tomorrow (and lived to tell the tale) I'd buy the same helmet again.

The helmet is a snug and styrdy fit and it was just the right choice for my son's Christmas gift. Huck n' Roll is a efficient and competant company, I'd shop here again!

Sure, it's not the lightest helmet in the world, but it breathes fairly well for this style of helmet and looks decent enough.
Also, it's tough as hell. It's a real skate style helmet, so the plastic shell on the helmet keeps it usable if it's dropped or if you're involved in a minor spill. (Skate style-d helmets that are just a foam shell will crack and break fairly easily, just like road helmets, making them useless after one impact) Sure, it adds some extra weight, but you aren't likely to have to buy a new helmet anytime soon.
Most importantly, if you're in a serious accident, it'll keep your brains on the right side of your skull. I got door-ed going pretty much full tilt (in a bike lane!) a few weeks back and went down HARD. The Flak did it's job well, and it has the busted foam and skid marks to show it. I'm 100% it kept me out of the ER that night. Outside of some roadrash and a busted up leg I came out of the accident ok, especially relative to how hard I hit the pavement.
A buddy of mine had a similar accident and damn near ripped his ear off while sliding on the pavement. With the Flak watching out for me my face was... Well, no worse than it was before I went down.
I'm buying a new one to replace it's fallen brother, that's about the best recommendation I can give.

The shipping of the helmet was really fast. I received it in 10 days (I'm overseas). The helmet fits nicely & I received extra padding as well. If you own another Giro helmet than the sizes are appropriate (I also have a snowboarding helmet). The helmet straps are a bit long...but that is my only compliant w/ the helmet. Overall good product & would suggest to friends.
great fit..

This was my first bike helmet, so I don't have much to compare it to. But, its very comfortable and extremely light-weight. Couldn't be happier...

i got this helment one month ago and its great, very good fit and air flow, the only thing is its big, i would get a smaller size then u normally would cause i had to sent back mine cause it was to big. i have a big melon and the large size was way to big. but other than that it is very nice and looks better than a road bike lid i think, if ur thinking of getting it do it

I dig this helmet. Have had it since fall of '08 and although haven't had the misfortune of testing it's durability, I think it will do just fine. I mountain bike with a mix of trail and road. I like this style over "The Navigator" space ship looking helmets. Vents are adequate. I have a size 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 inch head(as far as fitted hats are concerned) and I bought the Large. After mixing and matching the available foam padding inserts I was able to find a nice, comfy fit. Overall, this is one pretty cool helmet.

Really cool. 3 padding sizes for front and back so it fits my small head and my boyfriend's bigger head simply by changing the padding. People have been banging on my head and it really is painless =)

If you look in the pull down, there is a size small for that helmet. Yes they can deliver to the UK.

sweet design, not bulky at all! great protection and with two sets of padding, you can really customize the fit.

This is your basic tough-as-you-want dirt jump helmet. It stands up to repeated crashes and the occasional drop kick pretty well. The liner came out of mine after a punting session, but I glued it back in there and it's been fine since them. I do wish it was a bit more vented, but it does OK even for trail riding.
