Giro Encore 2 Helmet - 2009 BCS

I recently returned several helmets because they did not fit correctly and in my current location I'm not able to try them on in a shop. I was more than stoked when my Giro Encore 2 came today and there were three different thicknesses of pads included. Nothing like the ability to fine tune the fit of one of your most important pieces of snow riding gear. Two thumbs up.

this is a solid helmet that has just the right amount of vents in the right places. the ear covers come off easily to convert it into a summer helmet, making it a good year round helmet for any action sport. there is thick padding that make it very comfortable, and it comes with extra to customize the fit if thats not enough for your. also, the strap padding is really nice; having used helmets without that, it helps you avoid chafing that can occur after time

Light, comfortable, warm, easy fitting. The three adjustable pad thicknesses are a must, especially if you can't try it on or might wear it with or without a layer underneath. My first and likely only helmet after many years, quite happy with it.

The helmet is lightweight and quite comfortable, but I did not realize how over-vented it was until the first day I wore it skiing. One of the things I like about helmets is that they keep your head and ears toasty warm and dry. I wore it on a fairly mild PNW skiing day (25 degrees, light snow, no wind) and my head froze off. The vents are not closable like every other helmet I have owned.Wearing this helmet on a cold day in the Rockies would possibly be fatal. Unlesss there is an easy solution I will need to find aa different helmet.

for the price, this helmet rocks.

I really like this helmet. It fits me really good and unlike alot of other helmets, this one is a good fit for many different head shapes. It comes with some extra padding so that you get that snug fit. And it really has a cool design. I love it.

I have enjoyed this helmet. It is super comfortable and has protected my noggin' without movement. It doesn't slide around like I expected but stays in place while skiing down some big hills. It keeps my ears warm without any extra cover on my head as well.

It fits very well --- even on the first day. Only minor comment is that the back snap was almost too small for my goggles, but it worked out.
