Carbide Shoes

Giro hasn’t been in the shoe market nearly as long as some of its peers, but that doesn’t stop it from designing some of the most comfortable shoes we’ve worn. The Giro Carbide shoe is ideal for everyone from the first-timer to the pro.

The uppers are sewn from synthetic leather with mesh inserts. And while you may wonder why Giro doesn’t use real leather, one of the advantages is that synthetic leather holds its shape without stretching, even when wet, for more hours of comfort. The uppers have been given mesh inserts to help your feet breathe. The footbed is molded EVA with a built-in arch support to keep your feet from fatiguing and has an Aegis antimicrobial treatment to reduce odors. On the bottom are economical nylon soles. These soles have enough stiffness to efficiently transfer power to the pedals, but they are not so stiff that they are uncomfortable to walk in. Speaking of "walking in," the Carbides have a lugged sole for grip.
