The Giro G10 Wireless Audio Series Helmet gives you DJ-quality sound to open the throttle over wide-open freeride terrain. An integrated wireless audio system works with your Bluetooth-enabled phone or MP3 player and can be removed so you can rock out all year long. Thanks to controls for volume, track select, play/pause, and call connect, you can call in sick and then shred to your favorite playlist without worrying about dropping your expensive toys in the snow. The G10 Helmet's wide-angle cut and gapless fit allow you to go huge off a backcountry booter and find your landing without blind spots—so go for the 900. In-mold construction gives you a low-profile fit, and you can adjust the 14 Super Cool vents on the fly to optimize air flow.
Bottom Line: Open it up while bobbing your head to a pow-playlist with the Giro G10 Wireless Audio System Helmet.
The G10 is a well-fitting, good-looking and highly rated helmet that standing alone is worth having and comfortable. Nice vents and superior padding and I dont look like the Great Gazoo.
Maybe Vito couldn't figure out the blue-tooth, but I followed the clear instructions and was able to link it to my LG Lotus in a jif; works with any blue-tooth enabled phone. I can stream music from my phone or I can have my iPod jacked into the headphones; either case allows me to take a phone call simultaneously as it automatically pauses the music. Calls are clear and I can answer, redial, put calls on hold, 3-way and hang-up without digging my phone out of my shell.
The headphones are indeed sweet; but once hooked to the helmet they lose their sound-isolating capability and lack the bass and top notes you get with your ear fully enclosed. However, I can rock out sufficiently and still hear the pow-crashing boarder coming up behind me.
Other than the lame color (Seriously, isnt there enough gray in the world?), this is a good helmet packed with details and an excellent value.
How can I link up m iPod classic to this unit? do I need the tuneups wireless or the tuneups bluetooth? what does it come with out of the box more specifically is it ready to be used with my iPod and phone from the get go or do I need to also purchase the tunes kits
it is ready to be used with both your ipod and phone. Since your ipod doesnt have a bluetooth adapter, there is a wire that connects to the ear pods which u hook up to your ipod. Your phone should have no problem hooking up to the bluetooth. No tuneup kits needed to be purchased.

I bought this on Tramdock cause it was cheap and I needed a helmet. I had a G9 before this one, which is five star helmet.
How's the music? I don't know. It's a pain in the ass to set up the headphones. Plus, you look like a tool with those Mr. Spock ear pieces. You've got to charge the Bluetooth every night. It seems to only work well with iPhone which I don't have because I'm super uncool.
It's a very comfortable helmet. Just don't bring it out on a windy day. It's insanely drafty which makes it next to useless in Montana.
Call quality is sketchy.. sometimes the caller comes in loud and clear and they have no problem hearing you, other times they have trouble hearing you. I have noticed however that you never have a problem hearing the caller. I have no idea where the mic is placed on the ear pod so i dont know how to focus your voice towards the mic. Had no problems pairing this with all the cell phones Ive tried. Pairs within a few seconds. Its main use however is to listening to music, which this absolutely excels in. If you pair this with a music phone, your music will come in loud and clear. No break ups in sound and range from source to these headphones is pretty good. I can get a good 30ft from my phone before the music starts breaking up.
The helmet is a great fit and doesn't look too big when you are wearing it, even with the headphones in place.
The head phones themselves are sweet. The bluetooth works great with the iPhone and sound quality is amazing. I even went and bought a second pair for work. Batteries charge quickly and last like two days while playing music.
Why in the world would you want to wear a ski helmet on a Motorcycle? Have you ever felt the difference in weight between a ski helmet and a motorcycle helmet? I was always told there was no such thing as a dumb question, but...
Unless all of those things work over Bluetooth, this helmet won't work for you. Additionally, I imagine you need a DOT certified helmet, which this obviously wouldn't qualify. All of Giro's helmets specifically say "Not For Motorcycle" in their packaging.
