Add some color to the Peloton
Functional with a touch of flash probably best describes the Giordana Silverline Women's Shorts. They're made with more than a nodding acquaintance at fashion, but that's not to say that Giordana has neglected what should be the most important part of a piece of high-tech clothing: the functional comfort level.
The colors pair perfectly with the Silverline jerseys, of course, and also add a little color to your cycling wardrobe. You can hide the color, or flash it out as much as you like by rolling down or pulling up on the elastic-free waistband, depending on your mood (and how high you like to wear your shorts). Accents of silver piping also tie the Silverline look together while providing reflective practicality.
These shorts are made of Nilo, a luxuriously soft and silky fabric which wicks sweat extremely well, but feels much softer on the skin than normal lycra. It also provides the added benefit of being an extremely good fabric to use for colorful pieces since its colorfastness is second to none in the industry. Nilo is also very stretchy so it will move with you like a second skin.
Giordana's WMC-3 OmniForm insert has been designed to contour to your body in motion, though it returns to its original shape after every ride. It's a seamless one-piece insert that will protect and support your pressure points. Giordana makes the thermoformed pads in their Italian factories. Their process creates the multi-dimensional shape that offers support just where you need it for comfort on long rides.
The Giordana Women's Silverline Shorts come in Black/lime green, Black/orange, Black/pink, and Black. They're available in X-Small through X-Large.

if you were to buy them - don't size up
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
Me: 5'9"/160/hips 40/waist 30.5/36C - 150+ miles a week
For these shorts, at least, the note in the sizing section that Giordana runs tight is incorrect. According to the sizing chart, I fall between L and XL, so I opted for the XL due to the note. Shorts were far too big - visibly baggy on me. Even in the correct size, the material of these shorts is very thin and they have very little compression. I have heard good things about Giordana, but these were a big disappointment - returned.
