The lightweight Giordana Hydroshield Taped Rain Jacket offers unbelievable protection against the elements without sacrificing breathability. The Hydroshield is made with one of Giordana’s most sophisticated laminate materials, named Sentry. Unlike other laminates, Sentry features a pore-free membrane that is designed to suck in vapor to enhance breathability while providing the ultimate water-repellant shield. Giordana also includes fully taped seams to ensure that you stay dry, and the front zipper has an interior draft flap for total protection. The Sentry material is also extremely lightweight, which means that the jacket can be conveniently packed into the chest pocket and stowed away if the sun suddenly comes out.
Giordana designed the Hydroshield with a snug, performance fit to reduce wind drag. Giordana uses stretchy, Ametista panels at the hips to ensure that you have a comfortable full range of motion, and the elastic at the wrists and waist help keep the jacket in place while providing additional protection. The Hydroshield features reflective strips on the back of the hips and neck to keep you visible in low-light conditions. Giordana also offers a detachable hood that is sold separately.
