Diversify your cycling wardrobe.
The Giordana Forte Trade FormaRed Carbon Men's Long-Sleeve Jersey brings Giordana quality and diverse functionality to any cycling wardrobe. Wear it as a stand-alone layer on those slightly chilly days or layer it in with a vest or thermal jacket to tackle the more frigid end of the ride spectrum.
Giordana fashions this jersey from Dual Fit Strong fabric, featuring oodles of stretch and recovery for a fit that sits close to your skin without impeding movement. It also retains its original shape, so it avoids the sagginess that can occur with other high-stretch fabrics. Dual Fit Strong's spiral-shaped weave pattern pairs with an Interpower treatment to effectively move moisture away from your skin and out into the air to keep you dry and warm even during hard efforts.
As with all Giordana garments, the details make this jersey stand out from the crowd. A tall collar sits cozily against your skin to seal out wind and cold without any annoying constriction at the throat. A hidden chest pocket feeds into cable loops to hold your favorite device and manage headphone cords, while three rear pockets provide ample room for a wind vest, a spare tube, and a gel or waffle to fuel intervals or ensure you won't fall off the back due to a hunger knock.
A fourth zippered pocket nests against the other rear pockets to safely hold your ID, keys, or other small items you can't afford to lose on the road. A silicone gripper across the waist in the back eliminates bunching to keep the jersey comfortably in place, and high visibility elastic at the waist and wrist cuffs helps increase visibility to motorists during low-light conditions and grey winter base miles.

A Decent Jersey But Go for the FormaRed
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This jersey is fine for layering under a light jacket on colder rides. However, despite sharing the FormaRed name, the fit is more relaxed and the details are not to the same standards. For instance, the arms lack the elastic seals at the wrists that the standard FormaRed use which makes the jersey more drafty. The pockets also lack the same elasticity of the standard FormaRed. This is a fine jersey, just not for the price. Given the same price as the standard FormaRed, I'd recommend standard FormaRed. I much prefer my FormaRed jerseys for overall comfort and fit.
