Calamitous looks, Italian speed.
Aerodynamics, compression, and subversive aesthetic appeal — Giordana's Men's FormaRed Carbon Wicked Fast Bib Shorts combine all three of these elements for a fit that feels Euro-pro but looks more like alley cat. The edgy graphical presentation comes courtesy of artist Tony DeBoom, who brings his calamitous name into cahoots with Giordana under the Endurance Conspiracy project's banner. While the Wicked Fast styling may be the headliner, the expertly arrayed Italian fabrics and paneling provide a strong baseline while you're in the saddle.
Giordana opts for HC50 material instead of the previous model's HC44. HC50 is lighter and more abrasion resistant while maintaining the breathability and claimed aerodynamic-boosting qualities of the 44 fabric. It also provides gentle compression, which reduces the gradual accumulation of muscle fatigue and promotes more effective blood flow. The inner leg panels are Zaffiro 2.0 for increased durability, the straps are the barely-there LoPro 0 mesh, the Cirro chamois is aloe-infused for salubrious comfort, and the whole thing centers on Giordana's Core Contour System for a supportive fit while you're stretched out on the bars.

- Q & A
Problem with lettering
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I like these bibs, very comfortable. I have only washed them 3 - 4 times on a gentle cycle and the lettering is already breaking up and fading. I would expect a little better wear.
Giordana's the best
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
Replacing Giordana Lasers that finally got thin enough after three years of constant use my wife threatened to put duct tape above the chamois in back! These are clearly the same kind of high quality product. Giordana appears to have moved its sizing slightly more toward American standards, and they do run a bit longer in the inseam that most, but I prefer that cut. I'm a barrel-chested 230 lbs, and the XL is just right. Very supportive fabric, great looks, comfortable chamois. You won't be disappointed.
