Description
Turbo-power your team with outstanding bibs.
These Giordana FormaRed Carbon Custom Bib Shorts are designed to match Giordana's jersey of the same name. In many respects, it's a pity they're so specific, as these shorts are so good, you might want to wear them all the time, allowing them to mingle with non-matching tops. That's what you should expect from the FormaRed Carbon line.
There are two ways that these bibs work their magic. One is the curved paneling that is a direct result of the Giordana Women's Contour Fit, a silhouette that isn't borrowed from their men's clothing, but designed around womens' curves. The other is the way in which the several fabrics work together.
The front and rear center panels are Zaffiro fabric, a 200g power Lycra that is compressive and durable. The leg sides and back panels are made of Shield fabric, a 240g power Lycra that is compressive and soft against skin and holds sublimated colors like nobody's business. The seams are joined via flatlock stitching for comfort and durability.
The cuffs and bibs are made from Aerofix, which is Ametista and Antigua fabrics bonded together. The Antigua is soft and perforated and next to the skin while the Ametista has carbon thread and limits stretch. The bibs are seamless and cut flat; hold them up and you'll see how the curves are created at the factory so they don't have to contort around your body.
The pad is the Cirro OmniForm insert. This is Giordana's top-shelf chamois and it is designed around how women perch on a saddle. It's a variable-thickness stretch pad, 14mm at the thickest. The pad is perforated for venting. The top layer micro fiber is waffled for comfort and the threads are infused with aloe to better protect the skin.
The Giordana FormaRed Carbon Custom Bib Shorts come in Black/blue, Black/pink, and Black/purple. There are reflective tabs sewn into the back of the legs. The inseam length of a size Medium is 8.5 inches, measured from the centerline of the insert to the edge of the leg hem. Sizes run from X-Small to X-Large.
- Aerofix waistband and bib, which consists of Ametista backed with stretchy, breathable Antigua fabric, holds the shorts in place without pressure points or digging
- Wide Aerofix cuffs offer extra support and prevent the short from riding up
- Low-profile Alta OmniForm chamois, Giordana's top-of-the-line insert, provides low-bulk comfort, protection and support
- Rear micromesh panel is treated to enhance wicking
- Body Clone fit runs small, so size accordingly

When my beloved pair of Castelli bibs blew a seam on a ride (luckily I noticed it when I got home and didn't have to deal with the knowledge that I was riding home with a slash of my butt cheek exposed) I decided to give these a try along with the matching jersey. Even straight out of the packaging I was impressed with the workmanship and quality of the material. They're ridiculously comfortable, feel great, and look sharp. At half price, you can't find a better set of bibs.
Note: I have the Black/White Arco and the white is pretty transparent although it is placed appropriately. I don't have any tattoos, but if I did, you would definitely be able to see them.
Update: I was stretching after my first ride in them. After thinking the whole ride how great they were, I realized that the seams that attach the chamois to the bib had already started to wear on the inside of the thigh. Argh, I really like these bibs, but I'm still within Realcyclist's great 60-day return policy window. Looks like these babies are going back.
Goodbye plain shorts

Fantastic for a 1st bib! I'm 5'3 110lbs and got the Arco style in xs. Fit is perfect and quite comfortable even after a 40 mile ride and a short run. The chamois is amazing. Bib fabric & length was perfect w/o being snug. Excellent store with great prices and fast shipping. I had to order another one . In less than a week, I got the Pinarello style and again fit is perfect . I still need to make sure white portion of the pattern is not revealing. These bibs are so much more comfortable than the regular Giordana FRC shorts. Both items are easy to coordinate with any red, white, & black jerseys I have.
Yeah, I'm a hardass, but......

I love the attention to detail and beautiful fit of these bibs, but the chamois is not the top of the line Giordana minimalist pad that I prefer. This is my fourth pair of Giordana bibs, and find the FormaRedCarbon/BodyClone to be the best made, most comfortable and performance oriented women's cycling short out there. Alas, the $90 sale price was too good to be true....I'm keeping the shorts because of the price and beautiful fit, but would have preferred the better chamois!

Super comfortable, don't even notice the bibs straps when wearing them.
Im 5' 4" 135# and wear a medium. My only complaint is that they are a little tall for me in the straps (seams pucker on the butt and legs). Otherwise awesome for rides 65 miles +

These are my favorite bib shorts. I have them in 3 colors. The shorts stay in place, but the cuffs do not dig into my legs. The chamois is the perfect thickness and doesn't feel too bulky. I have been comfortable wearing these bib shorts on up to 50 mile rides (the shorts could keep going too!) I have also worn them mountain biking with great satisfaction. The bibs straps are very comfortable; I can hardly notice them (and I have a large chest.) I'm 5'4" 148 lbs and the large fits me perfectly. Best buy, especially when they are on sale!
Great Quality

I am already impressed with Giordana shorts but getting bibs took my love for Giordana gear to a whole other level. These are comfortable, stylish, flattering - and the price was great (I got them during the 50% sale).
I will wear these for years to come. Just looking at them gives me an itch to ride.

I've been wearing pearl izumi bibs and will never go back. I was attracted to these because they're one of the only matching kits for women with bibs. There are few things in the world that I would say are worth this much money, but indeed the price describes the quality. Really flattering cut/graphics, amazing materials, feels better than wearing nothing! The jersey is equally great. Also the holiday blue color matches the 2012 CAAD 10 5 (raw/blue) perfectly!
I'm 5'1, 130lbs, and ordered size medium in both the shorts and jersey. I have a really short waist and might have to get the straps tailored up an inch or two, but I have that issue with all bibs. I found that the shorts inseam and the jersey sleeves are a bit longer than others, maybe because I'm short, but I love the length - will provide more tanline options in the summer and keep arm warmers in place when it gets cooler, plus the material and fit are so amazing that you don't even notice the difference.
In sum: you will forever regret not buying these.

These bibs look awesome and feel awesome.
I saw these bibs got the best mark on VeloNews magazine for the best bibs, and also read good reviews. So I gave them a try, and bingo! These are a great pair of bibs.
They're true to size, the leg bends are very comfortable. And they look pretty good. I bought the matching jersey as well - even though the jersey's pricey for a jersey, it's hard to find a jersey in matching color and pattern. The jersey feels a bit too "graphical" but oh well, it matches the bibs!
most awesome bib ever.

This bid fits perfectly. I barely noticed it on my first 50 plus mile ride in 80 degrees temp. It was so comfortable. The pad is soft and delightful, the straps dont get in the way, and the wide leg band is tight but soft to the skin. If more were available in other colors apart from black Id buy them! Solid black gets so boring. The pink adds a nice feminine touch, but any color would do.
