Gerber created the Rivermate Knife to meet the unique demands of rafting and kayaking. The blunt-tipped design reduces the chances of you accidently popping your boat during a rescue, because no one wants that. Gerber also added an aggressive serrated edge to help you slice through tangled lines quickly. You even get a hard sheath that attaches to your PFD for fast and easy access.

How rust resistant is this knife seeing as it's only steel

How rust resistant is this knife seeing as it's only steel and not aus-8 or something? It's a river knife so I would assume it would do well in water but I'm not sure.
