Stop sucking down water as you gasp for air when you carry the pressurized Geigerrig Rig 1600 Hydration Pack on your next adventure. The patented Ogwa Hydration reservoir uses a Pressure Bulb on one shoulder strap to keep the 100 ounces of water pressurized so you can spray it into your mouth when you bite down the Surge Protector Valve. The easy-to-clean slide-top reservoir eliminates the hassle of sucking a near-empty bladder when you’re already out of breath on the hill or in the desert.

  • Innovative Ogwa Hydration reservoir comes with the Rig Pack and feature Quick Release Valves so the tubes can stay put as you refill the bladder
  • Eco Rig Back Pads and Air Drive Ventilation back panel provide open space for cool air to minimize back sweat
  • Ergonomically fit shoulder straps feature straps and overlays that hold both the bite valve and Pressure Bulb
  • Several pockets inside and outside the Rig organize your hiking essentials
  • Reflective zipper pulls keep you visible from behind when riding or hiking in low light
  • Stowable waist-belt channels the load to your legs and features pockets for holding the Pressure Bulb if desired
  • Sternum strap and compression straps lock down the load, keeping it solid and balanced for bike rides and scrambling

Bottom Line: New innovative hydration technology in a mid-sized pack so you don’t suck on your next hike or ride.

Geigerrig 1600

Not sure what pack the one reviewer is talking about.

I recently purchased a 1600 to be used as a "Go-Bag" or 72 hour kit. It's perfect! This is my second Geigerrig system. I bought the 700 first and was impressed with the way it works.

The workmanship on my 1600 is first-rate and quality is first-rate. It is roomy enough to store my MRE and Freeze dried foods with no worries about where to store the water. I can fit other utensils, and flashlight, tp etc. and a windbreaker with room to spare.

The pressurized system on my pack also works well. Yes, you have to manually pump it up, but as far as being strenuous, or bothersome, it's neither.

I own a camelbak system that I like, and have used for years. It does the job of water supply nicely, (a great step up from a water-bottle) This is the next step up in hydration systems.

So far so good! I am not disappointed in the least.

Hello, I was contacted by the people that posted all the positive reviews on the GeigerRig packs, I am not sure how they got my contact info, but they threatened me with legal action if I didnt remove my true honest review of the pack (if you look in my comment history you can see. The company created false profiles (you can see each one has only 1 comment each, and they are all about the GeigerRigs and how great they are) and they said they would sue me etc. over my review. To avoid any problems I decided to just delete my review, but I am seriously concerned about not being able to post my true opinion, and also how they got my personal contact info.

Please advise on what I should do.

Perfect tool for a campout with dirty scouts

By:
September 29, 2010

I took my Geigerrig on a campout with my scout patrol a few weeks back, and most of them didn't follow the Scout motto: be prepared.

Some didn't have water, no problem--I just sprayed it in their mouths. No germs shared.

Some overheated, no problem--I just sprayed some on top of their head.

All were grimy, filthy, and sticky, no problem--I just washed them off in a few easy sprays.

Many scout leaders have survived without a Geigerrig pack, but my geigerrig has become as essential as a pocketknife.

Much better than my Dakine heli pro with camelbak bladder. Extremely easy to fill and clean afterwards. Love the ability to spray, great for hiking with my dog or sharing with friends. Also plenty of storage and accessory pockets
