The Garmont Women's Xena G-fit Alpine Touring Boot takes backcountry performance to a new level. With the strength and power of standard alpine boots and the versatility of a lightweight touring boot, these puppies do it all. The super-strong, double-injected cuff gives you the stiffness to push the biggest backcountry planks without a problem. The women's-specific G-Fit 3 W liner provides an uncompromising fit for precise power and control. Its lace-up system allows you to dial your comfort whether you're on a long tour or just killing the steeps at your favorite resort. With strength and power that matches your standard alpine boots and the versatility of a lightweight touring boot, forget switching between boots—the Xena has you covered. Interchangeable outsoles fit both standard AT bindings and standard ISO alpine bindings to make the Garmont Xenas your go-to boot no matter what terrain you ski.

Bottom Line: The Garmont Xena G-fit Alpine Touring Boot charges like a warrior princess.

Garmont Xena G-Fit

For those who grew up skiing in the 80's (rear-entry boots etc.) this boot is stiffer and more responsive than any of the old DH boots with the added advantage of being light and AT compatible. It is truly an up and downhill performer and the best of both worlds. It is not dynafit compatible, so if you're going for light bindings, beware. Otherwise it is a fantastic boot and made to fit a women's last.

Excellent Boot!

I have used these boots about 20 times so far and haven't had any hot spots after spending entire days backcountry touring and skiing...and I haven't even heated them to my feet yet. The nice wide power strap makes for a great stiffness adjustment when going down hill. One thing I noticed about these boots is they seem to have a bit of rise in the heel that took me a while to get used to. After I adjusted to that, no complaints and all around comfort!
