Garmont Sticky Cat Approach Shoe - Men's - 2008 BCS

Great shoes for being active in (hiking on all terrain, scrambling) but when sitting in the car, class, bus, etc., my feet went completely numb from the lacing system! That is a no go for me. They were perpetually too tight or too loose.

I've had mine for going on 2 years, and I am only just now thinking about replacing them. I've used them for everyday wear as well as for approaches, scrambles, mod climbing and day hikes. Super comfy and bomber.

Used these for the 60+ mile trek up the Baltoro glacier to K2. Great support and they climb surprisingly well.

I bought these shoes for the first time roughly 4 years ago, since then I have yet to purchase a different all-around shoe. I can't say enough about them, great for long approaches, awesome for baggin peaks in the summer. Messing around on boulders, short trail runs, whatever you throw at it, they come out shinning. Buy two so you have a spare after you've spent so many epics days with them laced to your feet, that you sadly have to toss them......

I am going on my third consecutive pair of garmont approach/hiking shoes. They seem to fit my feet really well and I haven't seen a need to try anything else. First two were the Nagevi, which I loved right out of the box. This time I was going for something with a stickier sole that I could wear for easy climbing/ and approaches. Not as comfortable initially as the Nagevi were but still offered enough support that I was able to backpack in to the tetons with a heavy pack (including camping/climbing gear) and all the way up the middle teton without issues. Sticks to the rock as advertised and I think that they will only get better as they break in
