Step into the Garmont Men's Mega Ride Alpine Touring Boot and prepare for feather-light tours, awesome freeride strength, and amazing comfort. The G Fit3 liner incorporates a lace-up system for a close fit and three different foam densities with a heavily padded tongue and cuff for support and responsiveness. The lower ultra-light magnesium buckles use a serrated ice-breaker pin to cut right through hours of frozen build-up. The Mega Ride holds as Garmont's lightest four-buckle alpine touring boot, so lock in to either your Dynafit or AT bindings and get out there. NOTE: Be sure to check out our sizing chart for optimal fit.

Bottom Line: Lap everyone on the way up and on the way down.

Sizing Chart is WRONG

By:
March 2, 2010

FYI!!!! The sizing chart for this product is WRONG. I wear a 10.5 shoe and ordered a 27.5 boot and it was definitely too small. I took it to a boot fitter and he recommended I go with the next shell size (28).

Nice light boot

By:
December 11, 2008

When they say light, they mean it - this is featherweight compared to alpine and even many teleboots. It was easy to dial in the fit, and skis pretty well, considering the lack of beef. If the snow is good, you don't enough know it is a light AT boot - if things are manky, you definitely need to work to stay forward. All in all a good choice for AT.

(SteveH) Garmonts are going to be the best fit for a wide foot.(DD) I tried this and Dynafit because I have very narrow feet. I ended up in these. Both were thermoformed to my feet. The first-wear problem with the Garmonts is that the ankle bone area is too narrow for my narrow foot. I blistered on my inside lower ankle bone. It hits a seam in the liner and a buckle strap rivet on the shell. This bone is a problem for me in any narrow ski boot, never hiking boots, so I think the issue is the shell.

love this AT Boot

By:
April 13, 2009

Finally, my feet have found a new home. having been used to my old Scarpa Denali's, this boot is a blessing to find better ski performance and lighter weight. The weight saving alone was it's biggest improvement, but I was very pleased with the ski performance in all conditions.

Reponse I received from bc.com:"Unfortunately, there was a mistake on our website where we put the same picture with two different boots.I have attached the correct picture for the G-fits.The correct picture for the Alpines is listed on our website. The boots have a slightly different look and a different liner. The G-fits are also quite a bit lighter."

Yes, (well, it says UNI and that means, freerides, naxos, ect.) The duke page on this site says they are compatible with AT boots.
