With carbon-fiber reinforcements, interchangeable soles, magnesium buckles, and a G-Fit 3 lace-up liner, the Garmont Endorphin Alpine Touring Boot offer unparalleled performance and strength. Powerful enough to drive the biggest planks in the gnarliest conditions, and still light and comfortable enough for day tours, the Endorphin nails high performance versatility like no other ski boot. The thermo-moldable G-fit 3 liner provides support and customized comfort. The liner's lace-up system locks your heel down for an optimal, secure fit within the shell. The multi-injected cuff and carbon fiber-reinforced shell maintain structure and stiffness no matter how hard you charge. This provides quick and precise power transmission throughout the boot. Magnesium buckles keep the Endorphin Boot lightweight while the two lower buckles' Icebreaker pins destroy ice that accumulates during long tours. Choose between alpine or AT skiing for the day with the interchangeable soles—one Vibram AT sole and one standard ISO alpine sole.
Bottom Line: The Garmont Endorphin Alpine Touring Boot leaves you with no excuse to stay in bounds.
OK with 50+ days on 'em the liner is packed out. I had them re-fitted that helped. Also once last season and once this season I have blown out the inside rivet holding bottom of shell to upper shell. Not sure if it was the same boot or not, also not sure if skiing in walk mode on rare occasions causes this rivet to weaken. Sorry but sometimes I F*&^ up and forget to put 'em back in ski mode, but only a few turns before you realize your error. Still a beefy, comfy boot and a nice option for the one boot quiver. Just a couple of concerns of mine to be aware of and curious if others expierence these symtoms. I still recommend them if your in the market for a stiff AT boot.
Has anyone used these boots with an alpine ski in frontcountry? I'm looking for a boot I can use with the K2 Apache Recons I have. I'm looking at the Volkl M-Rock for backcountry.
I used these boots, almost exclusively, last year on the groomers and the pow. Lots of life and highly recommended. Only problem is the heel hinges are poorly designed. I shaved off two hinges through the season, and sometimes parts are very hard to come by. You need to be creative. Garmont designed a great boot but screwed up on the hinge pins. Maybe a Stainless hinge instead of an aluminum or whatever lightweight material they are made of. A supply of hinges would be a nice asset for the season. Still love the boots and am looking for another pair.

Wow I love these boots. They're plenty stiff enough to push around my fat skis in all conditions. The forward lean mode really puts you in an aggressive, rock-the-house stance. Relax the lean and you have a more comfortable position for enjoying some slow floaty pow turns. And when it's time to walk, just flick the switch on the back of the boot and it's super easy and comfy to walk in them.
Another key aspect is that this boot's single-plastic design means a bootfitter can adjust the shell if need be (most other AT boots are made of multiple different types of plastic, hence there's not much a bootfitter can do for you). I had to get these blown out almost an inch to accomodate my super-wide foot. It worked and I will never look back.
The only complaint I'd make about these boots would be that the provided footbeds are paper thin and really should be replaced with something beefier (which most people do anyways). Otherwise, these are awesome boots and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking something that will rock both, inbounds and backcountry in the same day.
a boot that rocks the resort as well as the backcountry. Stiff and comfy. Walk mode is easy and useful even at the resort. Love the vibram like soles even use them in my alpine bindings (some say switch to the provided iso alpine soles). Uphill comfort is excellent (when using laces) paired with the Naxo 21's. Price is ugly but its my only boot now. Get them fitted at your local ski shop and boy howdy are they comfy. Great AT setup! They will drive any ski.
I wear a size 12 and I fit perfect into the 29.5 right out of the box.. buckle the thing down and its snug as could be everywhere, heal seated nicely and toes can move just a tiny bit but I wouldn't call it toe wiggle. Perfect, No boot ever fit better out of the box on me. Thought you would want to know my experience because one guy posted here "The sizing is a little off, i.e. if you wear a size 12 get a 30.5 instead of a 30."
