The G3 Women’s Viva Ski provides skiers with confidence inspiring stability and flotation of 91mm underfoot and the snappy, responsive flex of a wood core. G3 designed the Viva for aggressive female skiers who shred the whole mountain and demand a solid yet forgiving platform. The Viva won this year’s Backcountry Magazine Editors Choice Award.

Write your question here...I currently ski a Karhu Jil and love them. Any idea how this ski compares? Is it quick turning for tight trees and how does it do on hardpack?

Personally, i think this would be better. this ski is stiffer torsionally and will hold a better edge. but it is close to the Jill in size. you might want to think about getting a BIGGER ski, something with more waste width.

WOW this is a hard choice. i love both brands and ski both of them. I have the Kilowatt with dynafit and some g3 el hombres with freerides. the G3 tend to be a little stiffer and damp and the the BDs are livelier and quicker. you would be happy with either one. sorry this answer isn't too exact. but trust me you would be happy with either one.

Are skis made specififically for telemark or downhill; seems Viva's are not being specifically billed, so they should be equally great downhill, or not?

Though marketed towards Tele/ AT use, these would ski equally well with an Alpine set up. In addition, G3 did integrate a mounting platform designed to secure any Alpine, Tele or AT binding.
