The G3 Backcountry Kit gives you an assortment of extra parts for extended backcountry trips. With a tension cable, lightweight aluminum heel wire assembly (for Targa and T/9 bindings), heel throw, one XMountain cartridge, a long ski strap, and mounting screws, the Targa Backcountry Binding Kit provides the essentials for fixing most binding issues.
Bottom Line: G3's Targa Backcountry Binding Kit—don't miss a day in the backcountry because of a broken binding.

The backcountry binding kit is a must if you have Targa bindings. Inevitably they will fail, and in my case they failed over and over again. Don't get stuck walking. Save your self the trouble skip the Targas they suck.

Not sure what the heck to above users are doing to there G3s to breaking them so much??? I have 10+ years of trouble free use both in bounds and the backcountry. I have been hauling one of these kits around the whole time and wondering why I bothered...first cable just broke the other day at the resort and I had a back up.... These are great bindings if you know how to madjust them and more importantly aren't a gaper and don't thrash your gear.
Have recently switched to the Switch back which is great but has itz issues too.... to teleman (above) they do make a bc kit for switchback... I bought it with my binding as any smart bc skier would do!
Change me.

super helpful. hope you won't need 'em
it's got all the basics you need if you blow a cartridge or a heel piece. backcountry trip? put 'em in your pack. resort day? leave 'em in more...
There's a reason there isn't a kit for Voile Switchbacks
G3 Targas are awful bindings. Bad at skiing, bad at touring, loud and squeaky, poor edge control, and oh yeah, they fall the hell apart -- hence this kit.
