Don't buy those

By:
February 18, 2010

I've bought two pairs of these leash and they all broke after 1 year use. Same thing happened to few friends of mine. It usually breaks around the pivot piece. Probably badly designed.
On top of it, they are hard to put on and off the boots.
I would recommend you to look at the black diamond clip wire ski leash, which are easy to use and haven't failed on me yet.

How do you install these on Targa G3 Telly bindings?

Each Targa toe piece has a hole built in to attach a leash. Simply thread the looped end through this hole and girth hitch it to itself.

Go with the BD clips

By:
February 4, 2010

I've tried these and the BD clips simultaneously on different sets of boards. The thumb trigger to open the latch can be tricky to handle with gloves on. I've also looked down a few times to find these completely disengaged - not sure exactly how they came off. I prefer the BD biner clips over these.

Decent

They get the job done. But personally I thought they were very expensive for what you get. I couldn't make my extra snowboard leashes work, so I shelled out for these. Its a great product, very durable, but not worth $23. Hopefully they will last a LONG time

one of my leashes had a metal fracture of the dog clip that attaches to the ski boot. I contacted Backountry that Monday and I had a new pair at my door that following Wednesday. I am sure
That was an unusual manufacturing defect. As always I found Backcountry always cooperative when I have had a Gear Problem. To the guy who inquired about the cable length 6 1/2 in. Could be 2 1n. longer and not interfere with skiing.

These are alright. They are hard to attach to your boot because the clip swivels. Beware if it's cold and u don't want to take off your glove

not a good design

By:
February 4, 2010

-The swivel clip is a problem which forces me to use 2 hands, or unglove.
-metal hinge freezes, making it difficult to open.
-This clip can be found in any hardware store for a couple $$
-I find the BD clip much easier to use

OK if you don't wear gloves when you ski.

By:

These clasps spin out of your grip very easily when you're trying to open them with gloves on. I inevitably have to remove my gloves every time I want to buckle in. Not worth the hassle.

Excellent durability - do the trick

By:

I've had these on my resort setup (G3 Targa, PocketRocket) for over 2 years and they've held up amazingly. Highly recommend over plastic clasps!

had these on my karhu agents with BD 01 bindings and had a clasp explode during a fall, the hinge held the metal itself broke. It was the only fall I had a ski pop off durning and the leash didn't last.

My Favorite Leash

By: Backcountry.com Employee
January 19, 2009

I love these leashes. Unlike other reviews, I find them the easiest of all tele leashes to get on while still wearing gloves. They have not broken for me and seem very durable. Also, they have never come off prematurely on me. I have these on two of my three pairs of tele skis. Soon to be on all my tele skis. Another fine product from G3!
