Glide and ride.

As a touring enthusiast, you want a skin that glides on the uphill and packs light on the downhill. Fortunately, so does the G3 Alpinist Climbing Skin. Backed by the tech necessary for an intuitive and highly functional piece of gear, the Alpinist cuts through snow and vertical like butter and paper, respectively.

  • Low-profile tip connector uses pivoting hands to fit securely on your ski tip and eliminate the extra weight and floppiness of fold-over designs
  • Laminated tail uses G3 tail connection system to reduce drag
  • Waterproofing treatment prevents clumping when you move through multiple climate zones
  • Temperature-tolerant adhesive remains sticky even when it gets cold
  • RipStrip makes it easy to pull off the ski and reduces skin-to-skin sticking
  • Includes nylon case, skin savers, and trim tool

Quality and performance.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great tip and tail attachment, pack down light and small, nice glue, everything you want in a skin in my opinion. I just haven't used them long enough to vouch for the durability, but will update as needed.

184 Line sir francis bacon. 140-108-137 what size?

Responded on

You will need the "One Color, 140mm - Long" Skins. Since these will be for Bacons, you may also want to consider getting the G3 Twin Tip Connector Kit. This stops the skins from sliding off of the tails, which sometimes happens when the standard clip is used on skis with rounded tails.

Is 115mm x-short or 130mm x-short best for a Blizzard Black Pearl ski with measurements of 123-88-110 and length 158?

Responded on

Hey hmrichard1880014,

For full coverage of the ski, you should for sure go with the 130mm width skin. However if you wanted to reduce weight and increase your glide efficiency, you could also with with the 115mm width. The 115mm width should be just fine on most skin tracks, however on super steep or sketchy terrain it may not be best. The choice is up to you!

Hope this helps, hit me up with any other questions.

92 mm wide skis. What size skin do I get?

Responded on

Hey esp105441672,

For skis with a 92mm waist width, I'd go with the 100mm width and trim them to fit. Check out the G3 Trim tool!

The length you purchase is going to be dependent on your ski length.

Hope that helps! Hit me up with any questions you have.

I bought a size medium for my volkl mantra 177's and they were too short so I sized up to the longs and they fit more closely to the actual ski length with the recommended two inches at the tail per G3's instructions.

do i have to purchase 2 of these or does it come as a pair? i.e., is it ~$165 for one skin or for a set?

Responded on

These come as a pair.

what length skin for 181 lib tech pow nas? 140mm medium?

Best Answer Responded on

I would say 140mm long. Those skis will be on the shorter end of the skins length but it will give you much better coverage at the tail which will help with climbing.

100% top shelf

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are the best skins I've used to date, there is not a single detail that G3 has not thought about in making these skins. The clips at the front and back are MUCH better than the BD skins Ive had in the past. No more kicking off the toe loop and the tail clip is much more secure also. G3s trim tool is also far and away the best and easiest Ive used. No more repositioning the skin on the ski to trim the edge, just stick em down and run the trim tool down the ski edge and you get a perfect trim every time. Such a quality item. Very, very stoked. Well done guys!

Ill check back with another update once these get some more use

What size skins should I get for a pair of 173cm (125/80/110) Blizzard Bushwackers?

Responded on

Hey there,

The best size to go with according to your ski dimensions is 130mm - Medium.

What size skins fit G3 Zenoxide C3 105mm waist skis in 178 length?

Responded on

I would recommend that you go with the 130mm Medium skins. The nose of those skis is 131mm and you would just trim the rest of the skin to fit your skis.

What size should I get for my two pairs of skis - Nordica Wild Belle 161cm and Line Celebrity 158cm?

Best Answer Responded on

Hey Browneyedsusie,

For your Nordica Wild Belle 161cm you will want 130mm Xshort size. For the Line Celebrity 158cm you will want to get the same 130mm Xshort. These size suggestions are for a shaped fit. There is a trimmer included to help you trim your skins to fit.

The Skins provided a more superior grip than my old pair, allowing me to climb a much steeper grade. Easy placement and maintenance!
